  1. it's so exciting and that doesn't go away!! just updated mine and I am only 3 lbs away from being in the 100's!! I can't even believe it!!
  2. I was told the same about gummies, my doc let me switch to centrim vitamins they are normal pills so it helped me feel a little bit normal again. I take them at night so they didn't fill me up during the day. Check with your nutritionalist I am sure they will work with you on the chewables...they are nasty arent' they?

    Fitbit

I love my fit bit, it helps me see how active I was during the day and mine tracks sleep as well so it helps me see if I am active at night why I might be a little more tired duing the next day.

  6. I wonder if it's the enterovirus or pneumonia? I would for sure go in and see your doctor even if it's your family doc just to get an xray if necessary to rule it out. I hope you feel better soon!

6 months in 105 lbs down! LOVING LIFE!

My daughter is doing much better now, it's so scary to have your little one look at you and say Mommy I am scared...I never want to hear her say that again that's for sure but the Childrens hospital out here is amazing so I am very happy that we live so close to such great care.

10 days post op with a lot of questions

Well done on the weight loss! I think everything you are experiencing is normal. in addition to all the Water you are taking in be sure to get up as often as possible and walk, walk, walk it will help a lot with getting things moving. I think as long as you are sipping wour water you should be good, I did notice in the hospital it was easier for me to drink without a straw, I seemed to be taking in too much air when I had the straw, so that might help. I was on a med for heartburn/acid reflux after surgery for 6 months, I am happy to say after the 6 months I no longer needed that, I probably could of stopped it sooner but I was just following what my doc perscribed. Energy will come back but it does take a little while. You are doing great!

    Self Hating...WTH?

So I am laying in the bathtub after a LONG past week just relaxing...then I started self hating. What the heck? I am "almost" 7 months out, I am doing FANTASTIC...down 113 lbs, I used to wear a size 24-26 pants and now I am in size 14, I can go into any store and just pick something up knowing it will fit or pick it up and say, wow that's huge now, I can't imagine 7 months ago when I needed this size. But yet...as I layed in the bathtub I looked at my excess skin (which I am sure over the next year will get better) stretch marks from being overweight and my 2 pregnancies and started self hating. I stopped myself right away and started pointing out all of the amazing things that I have accomplished over the past 7 months. Has anyone else caught themselves doing this? How about this...When I was fat...ha ha when, that's fun to say...I was 320 at my top weight...I never really saw myself as being that big. Until those darn cameras came out and I thought holy cow...I am that big? where are my knee caps? why am I always in pain? Now I know I am smaller, I can cross my legs I have the cutest little knee caps (yup I am weird) but somewhere in my head I still "feel" like I am the fat girl in the room...This is also changing...I am really LOOKING in the mirror and realizing the beautiful person that I am. My confidence is through the roof, I even have dreams of going for a run? What is up with that! ha ha!! LOVING my new sleeve, LOVING my new life...I have a lot to be grateful for this year. INcluding this site which has helped me grow and learn and touch others lives that I would of never been able to before. Family pictures are this weekend and I am REALLY looking forward to them! that's another first! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

    Any day now!

How exciting and Frustrating!! I couldn't believe how long it took to get all the pieces in line with mine too...I didn't have any health issues, just fat...so it should of been a quick thing. took 4 months!

    muscle pains under ribs/surgery tomorrow

maybe just stress?? I am not sure what it could be, I wish you the best of luck with your surgery!! it's very exciting!
  17. I would have to say marriage, I tried to keep up with my husband and that packed on the lbs...pregnancy added a ton of weight because my first born LOVED milky ways...yes I am blaming her ha ha my second loved salads and buffalo chicken. that combined with no time to invest in myself to work out, laziness etc...believe it or not in high school I was a 2 time state champion in track, 6th in the state for the 400 hurdles...so maybe part of me felt like I did my time with the 3 hour daily workouts.

6 months in 105 lbs down! LOVING LIFE!

I have not started a routine workout schedule yet...I know I know I really need too. However, I have VERY Active 4 and a 5 yr old that I constantly run around with, so while not structured I try to get in at least 10,000 steps a day if possible. I need to get more strength training in for sure as my arms are getting small, it's so fun to see myself as a small person now!! On another note, My daughter (5 yr old) was hospitalized over the weekend. she had pneumonia, enterovirus and parainfluenza by the end of it all, she was in bad shape...I decided that after this surgery I am the IDEAL person to stay with someone in the hospital I rarely eat a lot (so I didn't eat in front of her) I didn't drink a whole lot (not good but I wasn' tleaving her side) and I don't use the restroom a lot, so I was able to stay by her side constantly!! I am very happy to say that she is doing great now, and I am down 113 lbs! Woo hoo!! come on Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for this year!! Thank you for all of the support! 7 lbs away from ONE-derland!

    Not telling family

I am sure you each have your reasons for not wanting to tell your family, however, I was so excited to share my journey with my family and know that I have their support along the way. It isn't anything to be ashamed of you are doing this for you. I am proud of you for making the decision to better your life! I was the extreme opposite, before surgery I made sure my co-workers, friends and family all knew what was going on so that when I came back or ran into them again they wouldn't worry that I was sick and they would support me in knowing that they don't bring a lot of extra "snacks" around my desk to tempt me away from what I know is good. Just a thought! either way you will have all of us here cheering you on!!

    Bariatric Vitamins and Nausea

I take my Vitamins before bed - seems to curb any issues that I used to have and now it's just part of the ol' routine. I hope it gets better for you!

    100 lbs lost!

    Congratulations!! you look amazing!!
  22. I do this all the time!! the best part is when you go to a store with a family member or friend and they lose you in the store because they aren't used to seeing you smaller!! ha ha

    Protein

Unjury is what is recommended around here, however you are supposed to get in 50-60 grams of protien every day at least through supplements and nutrition. 60 lbs is still really good, I don't know what you have started at or what your daily routine looks like but as long as you are getting in your vitamins and protien either through diet or supplements I am sure you are doing fine.

6 months in 105 lbs down! LOVING LIFE!

A typical day for me includes: 1. Trying as hard as I can to at least get in 10,000 steps a day. I don't get there every day but I have a Fit Bit that really helps me track how active I have been during the day. I need to get into more strength training but I have 2 little ones so time is rough, but I will only use that excuse for a little bit longer, we just moved so we are in the process of setting up our home gym again. 2. Breakfast....Always 1-1.5 eggs scrambled with a little cheese sprinkled on top 3. lunch - I bring a small wrap with Turkey and cheese - I can only get through half of it but bringing my own food has helped me control what is going in. 4. dinner - We typically make chicken or something with ground beef in it, vegetable and a noodle of some kind, I am sure that I take in my chicken and vegetable ahead of any carbs...generally by the time I get in the first two I don't have any space left for carbs 5. If I need a snack, I put a Cheese stick in my lunch bag, not a lot of calories and it really fills me up. Not a lot going in, trying to get in all of my Water, still taking my Vitamins and Calcium chews so that's great. I hope this helps! it's not a great plan but I guess it's working for me down 106 as of today!! Woo hoo!!
