Today I had 3 ounces of Greek yogurt mixed with Protein Powder and some baby food....(bananas) I had eaten it with a baby spoon and made it very smooth....I felt full and felt it in my back...I had Water all day and just had a Protein shake...but have that feeling again...seeing my doc for post op tomorrow. .
My surgery was 9 days ago...just thought I share. ..if anyone has same issue, I haven't had any gas issues

Hi Kathy
Sorry I didn't get back to you ... My surgery was last week and I'm recovering and have been in the post op posts..... It took time to get used to the machine. FOr me it's the headband around my head more then the mask itself. It gives me a headache and if it's not on tight enough the air seeps through and then makes noice.....I'm a mouth breather so I have a full mask... But I did notice that I felt better using it, also it can be soothing.. The air and sound...sometimes I get up around 4 am and take it off. I had to bring it to the hospital and it was on me when I woke up...made my mouth very dry, I had an issue cause it turned out I wanted to keep it on even while awake in hospital cause I felt like it helped with my breathing and my doctor said that was fine. Give it time you will get used to it, and good luck to you.

Thanks guys....I also have to take into consideration that I have had a Tummy Tuck in the past, which also tightens muscles in that area.....along with 2 other surgeries around that area...I think I may have been doing too much around the house...I'm home from work and bored!

I'm 1 week post op....been fine with incision until tonite...have dull pain and burning feeling...I went out today and did some food shopping.

Keep us posted! Wishing you well

How amazing and wonderful....what an inspiration!

By the way my doctor said most of the time the diarrhea is caused by the contrast she uses during surgery. Unless there is high fever present, then to be tested for the C diff

Geeez Miss Mac that was a dangerous experience with passing out and stuff..I just was rereading the post and noticed it, I've been pretty out of it, feeling pretty good today, glad your ok........

Also that meal you spoke about is the meal I'm dreaming about...lol

Hi...thanks for your reply...I'm going to go over all my material again...I have an app with my NUT this coming Thursday. .I don't want a leak issue and I'm sort of nervous about starting next phase. I'm home from work 2 more weeks! Need to keep myself real busy I guess:)

My doctor says I can go on puree week 2....

Hi Baby
Sorry to that you are feeling this way...I'm having some issues ...first of all I can't sleep! I'm up until 5 am then crash til 7 and that's it....I'm feeling some weird mild cramp every time I drink..no matter if it is warm or cool..I'm not that hungry but feels like growling hunger girgles...I'm my taking Nexium...also had a hernia repair..I wasn't feeling these things when drinking until today and my surgery was on9/8.
As for food around this house..there is plenty of it and it smells so good...I'm my can't wait to have a scrambled egg..my husband sat here and ate buttered popcorn the other nite! The man could eat whatever he wants his whole life and isn't over weight.
I'm sure once we are able to have something of substance in our stomachs and feel satisfied this will all pass. This is a hard phase...hang in its going to be ok...

Stay hydrated especially when you have diarrhea. Three weeks ago, I was having another bout with it and passed out twice in the bathroom, hitting my head on the tub both times. I spent a night in the hospital getting IV fluids. Most unpleasant.
Thanks that is my main concern. So I'm really focused on hydrating ..

thanks,,,well at least it's getting me and and down more:)Yes, I'm 2 weeks post op and have had diarrhea since day 2. They tested me for cdiff (neg). Surgeon said it was probably from the pureed diet and should thicken up once I go to soft foods.

I'm now using the Tylenol,,anyone having a problem with diarrheaOK I tried just taking liquid tylenol this afternoon instead of the narcotic. So far so good.
If anyone has not tried using the heating pad yet, it works!! I had a wonderful nap with it today.

Anyone else experiencing this I'm calling doctor in the am:rolleyes:
