I'm scheduled for my first fill 1/30. I'm nervous and dont think I will have one. I'm doing great and am not hungry.
Maybe, I should just get it over with.
-
I havent had a fill, but I feel the same way.
try eating 6 small meals a day. I was also told to eat my protiens first and if theres room for veggies second.

ch4251, leave them on.
My Doc. told me I was healing well and could remove the strips after 10 days if they did not fall off on there own. well at the end of 12 days they all fell off on there own except the strip over the port, quess want I removed it and I ended up removing a little bit of scab on one end and the scar is wider at the end.

Trust your Doctor, she knows whats best for you. Good luck

I can feel the band after eating, or I think its the band. its odd, I know its there. when I eat food takes time to get through and I havent had a fill yet. Does that make sense?

that doesnt sound like very good advice. your basically telling her to vomit. someone with issues good get end up with some sort of eating disorder. just an opinon.

Ladies. I need some help here. I am 1 month out and still get bloated after eating. I am concerned because I'm not eating. I can basically eat anything but not much of it. If I eat more than 1/4 cup I get bloated. I am trying to eat my 60 grams of protien so focus on foods high in protien.
side effect of bloating (gas) I burp like trucker. my grandbabies love it, but I'm getting tired of it.
-
I have been very lucky. I am down to 250 (home scale) I am 1 month out with no fill. I eat one full meal (if you can call it that) I basically living on protien drinks, Soup, scrabbled eggs, cheese and deli meats, cream of wheat and oatmeal, tuna salad and Beans of course (homemade) trying to get in the required protien. if I eat more than 1/4 a cup of any given food, I get bloated and have to burp about 20 times to get some relief. My grandkids cant wait till I finish eating so I can let it rip and their yelling "wow, gramma thats a good one" I can live with this feeling for now, but I'm sure it will get old fast.
I think I will try eating 6 very small meals per day and see if that helps with the bloating
but who's complaining?

i'm happy to hear there are others who do not need fills. I'm almost 1 month out and dont feel the need to get one. I am eating 3 small meals a day and dont have any hunger. I now eat like a kitten and not a roaring lion. I have continued to lose 2-3 lbs a week ( will change tinker after Dr. appt 1/30)
why do I feel quilty for not wanting a fill?
-
I'm sorry to hear your having a bad time. the only thing I can advise is to follow your Dr.s plan. stick to the clear liquids.
Although I did not go through anything like you decribe, when I did start my protien liquid phrase, I felt bloated and uncomfortable and chose to go back on clear liquids. give it a try.you will do great

ok ladies,
not menoposal but PMS is a b---h. my friend recommended evening primrose and I am a new person. I take one 1000mg capsule a day. been on them for about 6 months. My sister (57) now takes them and she feels 100% better. Dr. approved.

Right on sisters
I have gone from a tight 26 to already loose 22, so freaking happy.
I have continued to lose weight at a steady pace. (will not change ticker until my weigh in 1/30). I walk everyday 30-45 mins, now thats awsome
-
along with steady weight loss, I have gone from a tight size 26 lane bryant jeans to size 22 getting loose LB jeans
right on!
-
the question should be what would we do without them?

right on band4ej
congrats on the weight loss
I am hoping for the same outcome, I am 16 days out and am schedule for a fill 1/30. it sort of scares me. I am steadily losing pds and inches but will not change my ticker until I weigh in on 1/30. hoping for 1 fill or none
Am I fooling myself

I dont think it should cause any delay in your recovery, 2 procedures done, 1 operation. right on. I had my tubes tied 24 years ago, same procedure. I asked my Doc. if things have improved since than and it has. good luck

how has everything been going for you, do the Drs. know what caused the infection. when it due to Dr. error/ hospital not sanitizing surgical equipment properly.
I know you were self paying. I believe these are questions that need answers. have they offered you any kind of compesation.
praying for your fast recovery

I think everyone goes through these same feelings, I must have changed my mind at least 5 times or more since I began the whole process back in Sept. and believe me the first night out of surgery and the day after I was mourning my lost friend, FOOD!
15 days out of surgery I have no regrets, already I have forgotten I had surgery and am eating healthy and less than half of what I use to consume.
I am no longer eating out of control, like there is no tommorrow, I am no longer stuffed with food and laying around thinking about what else I can eat.
I feel blessed and honored to have the lapband. Oh and did I tell you I'm losing weight. I think I lost another 8 pds but will not not change my ticker until my official weigh in Jan. 30th
Good luck on your journey.

I've been banded 2 weeks, no solids untill week 4. I have cheated, had a few brocolli tops (overcooked) and squash (overcooked)

my stomach feels heavy and bloated after I drink 4ozs 1%milk with a scoop of whey Protein, I can drink sugar free products with no problem.
I also tried Isopure clear liquid drink and I felt the same way, bloated
could it be the protien itself that can cause this?
