Morning all...I have today off and am going for a fill appt in a little bit. I'm nervous because I haven't lost anything in 6 months! So, I'm not sure how today will go. Sometimes I can eat a horse, and other days water is hard to get down. Not sure what he can do, or if I'll even be able to express it the right way.

PJTP - HAPPY EASTER everyone. As tradition, my DD is at my mother's. Tradition started when I wouldn't get a candy basket, so my mother started getting her one. So, this is a "free-day" for DD and I am not there to witness it. I got DD a basket with a pink and brown volleyball, and some toys, a gym bag that matches the volleyball. It's a cute set, and it matches her room. We're heading over to my mother's to hide the eggs we died yesterday. DH said, "I'm suprised DD is still into that at her age." :cool2: Well, I like it, too darn it, so there's not much to say there. I also got my mother an Easter Lily...now I'm googling to find out how to take care of it.

Long weekend...yay! Saw: Marley and Me - yeah, I cried, cried....cried. Juno - eh...I'll never watch it again, but it wasn't as horrible as I thought. SlumDog Millionaire - same thing. Not my type, but it was okay Bedtime Stories - I actually really like this movie. This wasn't as corny as I thought it would be. Deathproof - I like this kind of movie, so I enjoyed it. :cool2:

All right ya'll...I'm heading to bed. I don't flash folks like SOME people here do. (I won't point out names, Donna) but I do get a little frisky! Everyone - have a great holiday, if I'm not back on by the weekend.

Ask Dan. 2 - I'm trying to read a manuscript that a friend sent me and I'm having a hard time. 3 - I'm watching our dvr'd The Office and it's funny as hell. 4 - tequila is really nice soometimes.

True about Survivor vs. the expensed of BL. Still, even though it's full of commericals and the prize isn't as good as other shows, the weight loss aspect is still a major accomplishment and prize enough.

Steve - Congratulations on your new goal. My surgery weight was lower than my highest, but it's the highest that means more to me than the surgery weight and that's the number I keep in my head. So, it's understandable! Good luck with your new goal(s)!

I can hear it a little more, as long as the focus is off Tara. :sad: Let all them bicker, bitch and moan...and Tara is just sailing through! In my personal life I can handle a manipulator over a whiner. Bottom line, I make my own choices so having someone pull my strings doesn't effect my psyche as much as hearing a grown man whine and blow up. And what really steamed me was when Filipe said he had to "put her in her place." That kind of talk really gets me boiling inside. And, as Mac has said, they can twist the show for dramatics, but if it's not being said, they can't show it or twist it.

I agree...I still hope Tara wins it, but she is a little manic about it whereas Laura is kinda happy-go-lucky. I still don't like the crying she did in the beginning, but maybe she saw the light.

Agreed re: Tara. I do think the prize is too low. Look at Survivor - that's a lot of money. I guess the ULTIMATE prize is weight loss, and longer life. :sad: But, the money is nice.

As much as I don't like Ron, I like him more than Filipe. And, even though he said that, he smiled after and Helen joked back, "That's why we wanted you gone." I think it was a joke and he was trying to lighten the mood. He was hurt, and felt betrayed, and really no matter if he's a manipulator, he was still part of a pact w/the cousins and they betrayed that. As far as the game part goes...ALL of them have been long enough for exercise to be a habit...all of them KNOW in their minds what they need. It's the final stretch and they are close to $250,000. Who wouldn't be in game mode at that point? Even a sweet guy like Mike. In the beginning they're all thinking "I'm just here to lose weight. I'm not going to win..." all kinds of self-defeating thoughts, because they don't think they can win it. Now, it's close and they think they can have a chance. Heck yeah they're in game mode.

I love that McD's commercial. It's the only commercial we stop the DVR FF for. Well, that and the baby saying Shankapotamus. PJTP - I took off Mon - so it's a 4 day weekend for me! I have a fill appt scheduled for Mon, though, so not all fun and games. I'm going to discuss how I get stressed and really tight and can't keep anything down, to when I'm feeling happy and free I could eat EVERYTHING I see. May not need a fill, but just a smack in the head.

I don't think the hands thing is weird at all! I love the veins and bones I'm able to see now. When I was chubby 14 year old, my neice who is about 4 years older, said she LOVED my hands because hers were all boney (she's skinny as a pole). She was being sincere, too, which was the crazy part. She said she loved the dimples in my hands. I felt better for about 5 minutes until I realized I had fat hands! Hadn't noticed before...so THANKS A LOT! :glare:

How so? Sione is Tara's biggest threat. In the game aspect, you wipe out your biggest threats and move on. Plus why not break up a team when given the chance? Now the only 2 teams are Ron and Mike, and Tara and Laura. Good move if you ask me.

Sione had to go! What a cutie though. He's really not the "bad" one...although he supports his cousin, so by association he's a whiny baby. That's why I tell DD to keep watch of her friends - you'll get associated with that THEY do. Same here. It was a no-brainer for the game sake and Laura's sake who she should keep, but I was worried because these people tend to vote really dumb. Sione is gorgeous, but those boys have some female/male issues. Maybe it's the culture, but they don't respect women. I think that's why Sione is so PISSED because he keeps losing to Tara. Where's poor Filipe going to be now w/out his cousin? What temper tantrum will he throw this week? I'm so SICK of the WOOOOOOOs from him. Just shut up, dude.

I was, I think, 3 or 4 at the time...so I blame my strange little child ID on that one. I vaguely remember the legs, but I do remember it. I also picked up the severed head from the ground and talked to it, telling him he'd be fine. I was told I kissed it, too. I don't remember that one, but my uncle and his friends loved telling me that story. All. The. Time. Talk about embarassing your 16 year old niece with her new boyfriends!

I agree wholeheartedly with this statement. In the particular case I've mentioned, the boss is childhood friends with the woman and their kids play together and all that stuff. It's a good group of people, really...they're all friends (even the guy) so it really isn't an issue for them. I was the one looking at it going, "huh." It's not something I think needs to change unless one has a problem with it, then they can go into HR and "talk". (I'm thinking Ontario sounds really good right now!)

I KNOW! I was a wacked little kid. :wub: It's supposed to be up to 80 here today, according to my phone blippy that gives the weather. PJTP - Last night I flipped out on DD. We went for a bike ride, came home and she went to the park w/her friends. (The park is one block down, where the community pool is and I can see it from the house.) I went inside and took a shower, changed into "comfy clothes" and started dinner. I saw that I had missed her phone call by seconds, so I hit return call and NOTHING. I called her over and over and over. I sent a text - nothing. I thought, she'd just called me, so what had happened? So, I'm calling, calling, calling and getting my shoes on, grabbing my keys, getting in the car. I can see the park and I see her 2 friends that she had been with walking on the other side, but no DD. So, I drive around the corner and she's sitting on the far side of the park (the part I can't see) and just laughing and having a good time. I call one more time, then put the car in park and start to get out. Another friend of hers saw me and she pointed, then DD looked her phone. Next thing, my phone is ringing. I told her to come home NOW. (She is SO lucky I didn't make it to her in front of her little friends. She'd have hated me for years over what I would have done.) :smile: So...I went home, she came home and I gave her a list of chores to do. She asked why and I said because when I call, you answer. She asked if she could just get a warning instead of this punishment, and I said, "Oh, child. Child. Child.... THIS IS THE WARNING!!!" :mad: Duh!

The lab brought in a fresh dead bird once and laid it on DD's bed. I could hear her make an "ugg" noise when she just thought it was a wet toy, then she got closer and I could hear the screams of disgust loud and clear. I don't think the dog liked DD's reaction too well - she's never brought back another gift again. Lucky for us! As a child, my uncle was a butcher and I used to "help". When I was really young, I wanted to save parts of Bambi and I saved the legs where he'd sawed them off at above the knee. I saved them in a bag, and mysteriously the bag-'o-legs disappeared when I went to bed that night.
