Now t HI VIOLET, I AM SURPRISED YOU ONLY WROTE TO ME WHEN YOU HEARD SOMETHING NEGITIVE...I HAVE BEEN POSTING ON THAT FORUM NOW FOR MONTHS NOW,I AM NOT AFRAID TO TELL ABOUT MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND WHO DID IT...WE HAD TO BEG FOR HELP FROM ANDRES AND I DID HAVE TO BEG TO HAVE THE BAND REMOVED, I HAD A HIGH FEVER AND WAS SEVERLY DEHYDRATED ,THE DR. SAID MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS VERY LOW...AND NOT TO MENTION , I COULD'NT BREATH VERY WELL AND OH MY GOSH THE CHEST PAIN..AND THE VOMITING.AFTER WE WERE ABANDED AT A HOTEL FOR 4 1/2 DAYS FEELING LIKE THAT WHO WOULD'NT BEG TO HAVE IT REMOVED.....NOW THAT I HAVE LEARNED MORE ABOUT THIS OPERATION, I KNOW KNOW THAT I SHOULD HAVE HAD SOMETHING FOR PAIN AND OR STEROIDS FOR THE SWELLING OF MY ESOPHAGUS ...GOSH I HAD SUCH A BAD TIME...AS I KNOW NOW YOU DID ALSO ...WOW ,I WISH I WAS WARNED ABOUT THIS ...AND TO HAVE THE DOCTOR TELLING YOU TO STOP VOMITING...??? WOW...AND I NOW KNOW YOU GUYS SHOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN US OUT DRINKING (GOT US DRUNK)AND HAVING LOTS OF FOOD THE NIGHT BEFORE THE OPERATION...AND YES I THANK ,ANDRES FOR THE DISCOUNTED DAYS I PAID AT THE HOTEL...I ALSO HAD TO PAY THE EXTRA ON THE AIRLINE TICKETS...WE WERE VERY SCARED AND MY HUSBAND WANTED TO TAKE ME TO SAN DEIGO TO THE HOSPITAL...BUT I JUST COULD'NT MAKE IT ...I JUST THINK I SHOULD HAVE GONE TO A HOSPITAL OR SOMETHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE THE FOUR AND A HALF DAYS WENT BY.OR AT LEAST STAYED IN THE HOSPITAL OVERNIGHT..THE DAY I HAD THE BAND REMOVED ...WE CALLED AND WERE BEGGING FOR HELP, BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I HAD OPERATIONS WE WERE STUCK THERE AT THE HOTEL...WHILE YOU AND ANDRES WERE IN SAN DIEGO ,LA, WHERE EVER ...I WAS DESPERATE..AND HAD NO CHOICE...MAYBE IF I HAD THE PROPER TREATMENT ,,,I COULD HAVE KEPT MY BAND IN...IT WAS REALLY HARD TO LIVE THAT WAY FOR ALMOST FIVE DAYS FEELING LIKE THAT...ANYWAY 5500.00 DOLLARS LATER TO REMOVE THE BAND..ANDRES ALSO SAID HE WOULD PICK UP MY SON OR SEND SOMEONE TO THE AIRPORT MY SON HAD TO GET A CAB FROM THE AIRPORT AND THEN A TROLLY THEN ANOTHER CAB...I WAS UPSET ABOUT THAT ...JUST A LOT OF EMPTY PROMISES ..I AM SAD FOR ANYONE WHO GOES TO YOUR CLINIC...OR YOUR HOTEL..I GUESS IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO GREED AND MONEY...13,000.00 LATER AND A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE..THERE IS NO $500.00 AIRLINE CREDIT AS I SAID THIS ALL BOILS DOWN TO MONEY AGAIN..AND ITS BEEN SEVEN MONTHS AND NO ONE FROM YOUR HOSPITAL CARED HOW MY MY HUSBAND WAS DOING WHY THE CONCERN NOW..HE HAS HAD NO WEIGHT LOSS ONLY APPROX. 25 LBS IN SEVEN MONTHS..YOU AND ANDRES COULD HAVE CALLED US ANYTHIME YOU HAD ALL OF OUR INFORMATION..THANKS SHERI --- ..

it was a real mindblowing experience being out of the us. and all after the fourth day i told my wife something is gonna happen today. or we are heading to a hospital in san diego in a rental car a cab or whatever. and it was pretty rough after not being able to relax one bit since the operation. i must admit it was a pretty scary situation.

stop trying to drink anything you need iv to knock your ass out immediately. along with antiinflamitories the rest hopefully it will stop the swelling. get the doctor on the phone now, dont wait, dont take no for an answer. my wife did this 4 days and it was to the point she had it removed. get on the phone and tell him to knock, you damn near out, steroids to stop swelling, and dont take no for an answer. trust me been there done that, email me at srcnv@SBCGLOBAL.NET IF YOU NEED MORE HELP...

I know how hard it is to find help for banded in Mexico patients here in nevada, not everyone understands. I feel its support too. p.s. im not bashing the rules. just need help in rural nv.

Hi Everyone I was trying to figure out what the meaning of "pb" is?????? thankyou..

I am sure that the doctor will reband me for next to nothing, ....he did try to talk me into keeping the band in ,but it was to the point where I was begging him to take the band out !!!! I could not breath my blood pressure was very low and I was vomiting into my lung during the surgery to remove the band....... I had a lot of stress before going into surgery , I think I should have waited ..then went at a later date..... My husband and I did go and at the same time, so we really did'nt have any support people ,other than each other ...That was kinda silly to do it at the same time ... but i feel confident that if i get rebanded that my husband will be there to take care of me.....we had met a lady who had gone by herself to do the surgery ...that must have been stressful.. I am sorry to hear about all of your awful experiences with doctors.... but i am happy all went well with you ...all of you are sweet and informative and inspirational........thx Sheri

Hi everyone Well Johnny is doing great getting ready for his first fill yeahhhhhhhhh I was checking out my body mass and all that stuff . I don't think i can loose almost 100 lbs with diet and exercise alone i know i can loose approx. 25-35 lbs but then i get to a point where its at stand still... I am talking with my husband ...we are trying to figure out how long i should wait untill i try again....????????? any answers will help ... if i do i would want to stay on a drip its too scarry to try without it.... can nykee pleas tell me how many days she felt that horrible chest pain ... and anyone else how long did it take before you felt like yourself again.. thx Sheri

I am going to get a personal trainer and try really hard, I'm 42...whewwwwwwww I have never really exercised before in my life ,I have been on every diet known now for over five years . No I will never do the gastric bypass : ) I and my husband are still healing after I feel better I am going to try the trainer..walking etc. Sheri

Hello Everyone , Thanks for reading our story,Yes we are in Reno.... I am not sure how big my band was I had in but I know it held 4cc inamed.. My problem was I could'nt get any air ,I thought I was going to pass out... I tryed for almost five days....Thankyou for all of your input... and yes I would try it again.... My doctor did want to put me on a morphine drip but it was too late ... we did the emergency surgery.... : ( Sheri

HI EVERYONE, My husband and myself had our operations at the same time ...I don't know what we were thinking : ) We could'nt take care of each other... I had researched the inamed band for a couple of months before the operations. We went to meetings etc. It seemed to be so much better than the gastric bypass ,no disrespect to those who have had that done ...I am just a sissy less evasive etc. My husband and I are self employed without insurance . Well we figured we would have less health problems without being obese etc. And maybe an insurance company would consider us as customers instead of obese and denied insurance wow how rude. Well I went in first because I wanted this operation so bad (and my husband was a little nervous) I had the operation it was great I woke up just fine no nausea nothing ,I went in five or ten min. after waking up to kiss my husband before his surgery,Then he went in came out with no problems . I thought this was a breeze ,I felt a little tight in my chest but that was it. I had iv's hooked up etc. I had not attempted to drink sip anything yet. later on that evening the iv was done and it was time for me to try and sip some water and take my liquid meds whewwwwwwwww that was it. I began vomiting it was horrible ,The doctor came in and injected me with some anti -nausea meds. it worked untill I tryed to sip some more water and meds about a hour after the shot ...more vomiting and oh my gosh my chest felt like someone was hitting me with a sledge hammer ...well this went on for Four Days imagine that well I did'nt get any meds or water down during that time nor did I get to take my thyroid meds. the whole time ....I could'nt stop vomiting even a drip from an ice cube would make me vomit ....for crying out loud the doctor said I was vomiting up my own saliva ....violently vomiting it got to a point where I could barely breath...the doctor took me in for emergency surgery I was vomiting into my lung and had to have that vacumed out.....I feel like such a Failure.. My husband has done just Great I am so proud of him! Okay I am a little jealious it did'nt work for me.....But still proud of him : ) The only thing we could think of was I was under alot of stress we had a death in the family two days before surgery ,my grandfather died at 98 years old and i took care of him .......maybe I should have waited? thanks for reading Sheri
