  1. Hi everyone well I am 15 days post op on stage 3 diet pureed foods which my nut has me eating ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, chobani plain yogurt and Isopure... I am down exactly 30 lbs today I started at 269 I'm at 239 today but I am really discouraged I miss eating dinners with my family and not feeling like I need to avoid things. I have absolutely no hunger at all but I'm pushing myself to get 70 Protein I'm lucky if I get 50 now. I'm 24 and I just want to cry because I knew this was hard but I never expected it to be this emotionally difficult. I feel like I spent my life eating when I wasn't hungry which is why I had to have this surgery but now I'm not hungry and don't want food and I have to push this food down. I never really ate dairy because it made me sick now everything is dairy and I'm struggling.

Please help I don't know what to do..

First and foremost sorry for the late response since i haven't logged in, in a while..... 30 pounds sounds great to me and that's no reason to get discouraged... I know that you can see the difference b/c I can and that's what motivates me... please try and not to feel bad. I'm 27 and was thinking about how much I miss to go out and eat with my family. I know how it's much harder for a woman if you have feed kids. In terms of your daily Protein, have you tried the pure Protein shake that they in both Walmart and shoprite? They have 23 grams of protein and I try to take 2 of those but what really helps me out a lot is a protein chicken Soup by unsure. The Soup tastes just like chicken soup and has 20 grams of protein, which brings the protein count to 66 grams plus a greek yogurt 12 more to a whopping total of 78 grams......(takes obviously 2 sittings since we only do 3 oz at a time)... In terms of Water I'm never able to take down all of the Water required and I was told by a friend that I should my best to do it since it helps with the weight loss. I began exercising this week and the days that I do I find myself drinking more than often. I hope that this helped a little Erin.......

*I know that it is difficult but stay strong and remember we're doing this for ourselves and for our family and we can it.....keep your head up..

  2. Funny thing I was sleeved on April 14th as well and just discovered this is side of the forum...funny thing..... Last time I went to the doctor I know that I lost 20 pounds post op... Overall, I'm feeling great and know that I have probably lost a couple of pounds but I'm not sure how much since haven't weighed myself lately....What is your daily food schedule like????

  3. I was sleeved on Monday the 14th... As soon as I went home I was going crazy...... I felt like I was ready to fight anyone for a cheese sandwich or a slice of pizza...I was chewing things and spitting them out watching that would not swallow none of it then rinsing my mouth to remove any residue. You MUST get your mind distracted... Go out for a walk...Drink Drink drink....that's the mental hunger. ....I wanted just something to put in my mouth to chew. My cousin went to shoprite and bought me some ice pops... that helped calm the urge...Click on the link to see what they look like.. hope this helped.... Oh yeah the fact that I knew that one day I will be able to eat again whatever I wanted brought some ease to my life...

  4. Every case is different. I was sleeved on Monday as well and I feel perfectly fine today. In fact I went to the barber since I looked like Chewbacca from Star Wars. This afternoon, I plan to even go to the gym just to walk keeping in mind to over do it. I have had my regrets like everyone else, however I am already beginning to see changes and feeling good about them.

  5. Hey there...This is my first comment on any forum regarding the surgery. I also had the surgery on Monday the 14th and found that sipping small gulps made me feel better. In terms of gases I feel that walking it out helps me burp them a little. Not sure if anyone has had the urge to stick food in your mouth chew it, then spit it out? Anyways, back to the topic...Have you taken any pain meds, especially the ones for gas? For the first couple of days I didn't take any since I didn't really have abdominal pain except for my shoulders. Upon talking to my cousin, (who had the surgery 7 months ago) he said that it was due to gas and that I had to take the meds.

Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? For the last 2 days I've been waking up at 3am and have been up until 7 or 8 am....
