Wow Leepers.
That's interesting. I wonder if I am consuming too many calories with the shake and my other bites throughout the day??

Ok so I didn't know what an nsv was until I read all of the threads. I was banded April 15 and have had a few nsv both before banding and after.
My capris from last summer don't fit at all.
I feel more inclined the wear dresses now and feel I look much better in them.
I had a co worker that sees me daily say how wonderful I looked and it made me glow.
My anxiety how lowered tremendously since the banding and losing weight.
I'm a happy girl!!

I had my first fill completed last THursday and last night I got chicken stuck. It was horrible and the worst feeling ever. Basically felt like someone was choking you but you could still breathe and swallow. I was eating chicken which I have eaten before (sunday night rotisserie) but last night it was grilled chicken and couldn't get it down. It finally came back up and then I had a Protein Shake instead of dinner. Had all soft foods today and just ate chicken salad and had no problems. Is this normal after 1 fill?

Thanks everyone. I will be going next Thursday for the Fill. It is done under fluoroscope. First I meet at the office upstairs in the hospital and see the doctor and Nutritionist. Then they bring me downstairs to radiology and they do the fluoroscope fill. They only do the fluoroscope on the first fill. Then I leave and I'm all done. Should be an interesting experience.

Getting my first fill in 2 weeks. Had procedure done on April 15. Can't wait to have it filled. The wait is the worst. I have been eating clean and have lost 35 lbs. I also go to the gym 3-4 days a week and walk about 2.5 miles each time. On weekends take puppy for a walk with hubby. Once I get filled hopefully the weight will come off quicker. Ugh the dreaded wait is the worst..
What can I expect to feel like or be like after my first fill??? Please tell me your adventures so I can be prepared!!! ????

Hi I am 5 days post op and plan to go back Wednesday which is 8 days. I feel pretty good today just some indigestion. Got Gas X strips today at pharmacy and not tmi but a huge burp after I had one. A week is just the right amount of time I think. My dr said I could have it done on a Thursday and go back on Monday. Not as a teacher I couldn't go back.. Good Luck to you..

Good Morning All,
I am 4 days post op and feeling pretty good today. Slept the whole night with no pain meds and no pain, and actually slept a little on my side. I didn't venture into the bedroom but fell asleep and stayed on the couch.
food and Fluid wise I am doing well. Have starting with warm Fluid first thing in the am and then move into a Protein shake. I had ring I noodles yesterday minus all the rings. Great broth to have. After about 6 oz I am completely done and don't want anymore. It takes too long to drink and gets cold so I just store it away for the next day. I'm on an all liquid diet at this time but not having a hard time. My Protein shakes give me energy that I need.
I have been walking ALOT!! It feels good to walk and also helped me to have a Bowel this morning which I was cringing about. I was worried I would have to take a laxative today. Thank god I didn't, they always bother me. Walking helped worked out the gas, although I still have gas pain. They repaired a hiatal hernia that I never knew I had. Never experienced acid pains until 4 days ago.
Good luck to everyone on their journey!!!

Hi All. 35 years old from NJ. Was banded on 4/15. 2 days out and feeling ok. Sore and gassy which I am reading that it is pretty common. How is everyone doing post op?

I'm 2nd day post op. Have no problems with liquids or shakes. Gas pains are my problem and being comfortable sitting and getting up.

Thanks. I was just really annoyed that I would have to wait all day long with no liquids. But anesthesiologist called and said nothing for 8 hrs. And hospital has to say 12 hours. Counting down the hours..

Got my phone call for tomorrow. My surgery isn't until 5pm. I freaked out on the phone. Is this normal to not have anything for that long amount of time??

I love AMERICANPUREWHEY.com
I tried a couple brands and then ordered this sites samples and loved them. I have been drinking them in prep for my procedure tomorrow.

Have been working out at the gym for a couple of weeks and dieting and lost about 20 lbs. Dr anticipates about 70 lbs in a year for me. Excited to buy new clothes that will fit..
