Getting back on track?
I went for a fill last Thursday and the doctor would not fill me because of a history of being "too tight". I have restriction, but not much. I am disappointed but I also know I need to get my head all the way into following the rules again as I had totally fallen off. I ordered a Bodybugg today and the weather seems to be warming up and so will be biking to work before long, Hopefully.

Bodybugg users report here!
Looking for people that use the Bodybugg while bicycling and what kind of response do they get. Do you think it is fairly accurate?

Bodybugg users report here!
My weight has been "stagnant" for almost 6 months now, and I am tired of it. Tried putting my info on my plate daily but figuring the calories burned was tough to do. So, after extensive reading about the BodyBugg, I ordered one just a few minutes ago. I hope this works!! :smile2:

Getting back on track?
To bert99: Of course you can join us. This is for everyone. I am sorry to hear of the hard journey you have been on. Hang in there, it will get better. Try to find some alone time to just "forget" about everything for a few minutes a day and see if that helps, even a little bit. Let us know what we can do to help you out.

How to you cook your fish?
We eat Mahi Mahi from Sam's. Not a real fishy fish but good flavor. We roll it in potato buds and fry in a little olive oil. Prior to the lap-band I would not eat fish. Now, I crave it and so we have it often.

Getting back on track?
Ok. I am so slow, it is not even funny. Since the day of my lap-band surgery, I have drank a Muscle Milk every morning to get 22 grams of protein. Good protein, yes. But, this morning, I was looking at the fat grams. Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11 grams of fat, do you think this is helping to contribute to my inability to lose weight?? Ha, ha. I will not be drinking Muscle Milk any longer as I am reducing the fat consumption in my diet as I go through this total diet reconstruction. No flipping wonder I am so stressed and depressed about doing so good for two years and now am putting the weight on. Oh, and, I am working out DAILY and adding more and more to my workouts. Something has GOT to turn around, SOON!!!

Milk question
I appreciate all of the responses. I am going to give a few different suggestions a try. Thanks to all of you.

Milk question
I drink a lot of 1% milk. Is there something that would be better for me, aside from nonfat milk? You know, the stuff that looks like water, can't do that. But, I am hoping there is something out there that taste's good that may be better to drink. Thank you in advance for your advice.

Getting back on track?
I did get it. I love it!!! So far, that is. I can feel it in my core. I am on it twice a day. The weather here is not warming up at all and so am doing the treadmill and the Ab Circle Mini while I continue to wait for the weather to warm up. The scale surely will start going down again one day. I am so disappointed in myself for falling back onto bad habits; however, I am working very hard on correcting that issue, AGAIN.

Plus size frustraion
At 250 pounds I bought and rode a recumbent bike. I absolutely love that bike. It was not hard on the knees or the back. I wish you the very best.

Scared Im Not Getting Enough Protein
I am 2.5 years postop and I still do a Muscle Milk every morning for a start of 22 grams of protein right off the bat. I also do 2 Omega 3 pills at 1200 mg each. My hair is long and full and my nails have never been stronger.

Getting back on track?
My Ab Circle Mini is due to arrive tomorrow. I can't wait!! I hope this is what I need to get my "arse" in gear. The weather in Wyoming is STILL not being cooperative enough to ride my bike to work, but when it does, watch out.

Getting back on track?
Thank you Lora. I have ordered an Ab Circle Mini. I work in a warehouse and the weather has not been the greatest here in Wyoming so I have been walking around the warehouse for exercise. Sounds corny, but if it works that is all that matters.

Getting back on track?
Would you all mind if I got on the wagon with you. I was doing wonderful and then in February my band had to be deflated due to slippage. I have 5 cc back in it now but am eating the wrong foods and the scale is going the wrong way. Right now, I pretty much hate myself. I am seriously considering purchasing an Ab circle to see if that will help.

Band slippage?
Woohoo!!! Deflating my band worked. I actually received 4 cc's back in today. The deflation got my band to adjust to the position that it should be in and so no surgical revision is needed. Back on liquids and mushies for a bit, but I do not mind.

Band slippage?
Okay, four more days until I find out if deflating the band did what it was supposed to do. I enjoyed the "freedom" of eating the first couple of days but it really is not that enjoyable any more. I find myself sticking to the things I eat when my band is at optimal fullness which is a good thing in this situation. I do miss the assistance the band gives me and can't wait to hopefully start getting it filled again.

Band slippage?
I do not know what causes the band to slip. Drinking too much too fast will hurt like hell. You will learn what works and what does not work. I am shocked that after two years of being banded that mine slipped. I will post more as I go through this experience.

Band slippage?
I have been banded for just over 2 years. Went in for a fill on Thursday and my pouch was bigger than it should have been but the band was tight. I have been able to eat bread for the last month which was odd and so I thought a fill was in order. The doctor said I had band slippage. So, the decision was made to pull all 6 cc's out for two weeks to see if gravity takes hold and pulls the stomach down through the band to make the pouch smaller again and then begin filling again, basically repositioning the band without surgery. Has anyone else experienced this situation and if so, is this the process? If this does not work, then what should the next step be? Thank you in advance for your advice.

Pain below the port
I have been banded nearly 2 years now. For the last week, I have had an intermittent pain when bending just below my port. I can now press on the region and it feels hard and is painful to push on. I am wondering if I am pushing on my tubing going from the port to the band and if it is possible that the tubing may have somehow twisted. But, like I said the pain is intermittent but when it hurts, it hurts bad. Would appreciate any feed back. Thank you.

What about the online activity manager? Is this a necessary thing to get info off the bodybugg?

Has anyone taken up Bycyling?
I rode my bike to work this week, twice. It is 6.5 miles one way. I absolutely loved it and as long as the weather is holding, I am going to continue to ride all summer. I hope to work up to all 5 working days. I wish you the best.

New Bicycle
I weighed 250 plus prior to my surgery and I purchased a Sun recumbent bicycle. I love it, easy on the back and so I rode it quite a bit. I now ride a 24 speed. I would sell my recumbent if anyone is interested. It is a two-wheeled recumbent, not a tricycle. If my bike could go to somebody else and help them out, I would be happy. If interested, we can talk about price.

Extremely painful fill attempt:
I went in for my fourth fill today. The third fill was painful but successful and so it has taken me awhile to go back in. I have lost 12 pounds since the last fill which I am thrilled with but am able to eat more than I should be and it is time for another fill. Well, after several insertions and pulling out the needle with no success of hitting the port the doctor laid me down on a table and after several more insertions and pulling out the needle, there was an extremely painful stinging sensation and I "screamed" with tears rolling. Needless to say, no fill today and right now I am in pain from the multiple injections. Has anyone had similar situations with a fill? :smile2:
