Three weeks. I kept track of my inches lost, during my stall so that I wasn't being tortured by the scale not moving.

My surgeon told me it was okay when I physically felt ready. I'd say week two was when I became sexually active again.

I didn't have a bm for close to three weeks post op (bc I became severely dehydrated in my first few weeks post op) and didn't have regular bm's until well over a month out. My dr Rx'd Miralax for me to help get things going. You can also try magnesium citrate. Tastes gross but FOR SURE gets things moving in the right direction!! Lol

@@iam_bLythe day 1 of liquid diet today! It is almost lunchtime and I am doing o.k. Typically between 10:30 and noon is my "Snacking time" I like the term Head Hunger. because I know know that is my issue! I just want to chew something, so I have a stick of gum in my mouth and that is helping I think.
We will see how the rest of the day goes.
@@twinderful head hunger is my issue too! Sometimes it really does get the best of me but when a craving coma sets in, I try to keep busy, busy! Distraction is key ! Wishing you the best of luck (: hang in there! You got this!

@@twinderful I have BCBS of NC (not sure if the policies are similar) but I fluctuated between 297-303 durning my entire pre-op phase and I was still approved and quick. I was approved two days after submitting to the insurance company. I'm on the pre-op liquid diet now and I have to agree with the others. It is for sure difficult but as each day goes by, I can reassure you that it does get easier. I still have head hunger everyday but I am better able to fight it off today, day 7 of my pre-op diet, than I was on days one and two. I have 7 more to go and 8 til surgery.

I'm having mine September 12!! Woohoo! Definitely anxious and excited!!

I am expected to have surgery around the middle of September so I pushed my fall classes back a month so instead I'll be starting classes 10/20/2014. I will be taking online classes for the fall semester then I will begin sit in classes again during the Spring semester in January 2015.
For anyone who's had surgery, is a month out from surgery too soon to start back at school? Should I completely take off for the Fall semester and start back at school, come the Spring semester?? Im just not sure what mindframe I will be in, a month out. Will I start feeling like my normal self and will I have the energy to focus on school work? I know that everyones recovery time is different but I would like to hear back from you guys to see how you felt, a month out from surgery.
Thanks in advance!

How do u get ur protein?

I use my vanilla pre-made (premier protein) shakes as a substitute for cream/milk and sugar in my Decaf coffee. I get about 15-20g of Protein per coffee and I usually have 2 or 3 decaf coffees a day. Ps and it tastes SO, SO GOOD!!
