VOMITING! and also since im on the medical side, is it true that lapbanders can never have a nasal gastric tube put down their nose and into their stomachs? i would love to read eveyones views on this topic!

  19. Hi maccy, have u been in the fund for a year and over? thats why its costing u $3500 , health covers waiting period is one year for pre existing ailments then they will cover u... If u havent been with HBA for a year please let me know and ill switch to them and only pay $3500 instead of $12000..
  20. This is a pre-existing ailment...i couldnt find a health fund that would cover me to do the surgery prior to the year of joining therefore im selfpaying my surgery,,It will cost me $12,000 at the Epworth Hospital in Boxhill.....If im not mistaken the Avenue charge $11,000. I get my surgery date on October 4th...

  22. Hi everyone, just updating u all on my progress, today i had my first consultation with Mr Patrick Moore at his Epworth Hospital suites.... It went really well.............. Things are happening and i got appointments to see the psychologist and nutritionist on September 28th and then October 4th with Mr Moore again to book surgery date..............Hooray! After a brief introductory talk with him he proceeded to tell me im a perfect candidate for the surgery and can see me achieving great results because i have no health problems at all........ I was so nervous today and i had a very stressful morning, had to be at the hospital at 7am to see my mum off for a 4 hour difficult risky surgery to fix a leak in her bowel,,u all can imagine i was a mess, i came home from seeing my mum off and sat and cried my heart out.:think.......i made sure i cried heaps before my first consultation.
  23. Hello, after 4months of extensive research and reading all the threads in this forum its about time i joined up.. I attended the free seminar at Epworth Hospital in Boxhill last night and today I called and got an appointment to see the surgeon this Thursday.......Im so excited but also scared cause reality just hit after i made the appointment that my decision and research into getting lapband is on the road to actually happening.............. Has anyone else been banded at Epworth by Mr Patrick Moore? I have also got another seminar booked for October 7 at the Avenue, but im not going to wait , ive decide Epworth will be the one!:whoo: Oh yeah , i got my referral this morning from my GP, i was so nervous because believe it or not i havent visited the doctor since 2004,,Thats a good thing, Isnt it! I havent been sick enough to need to go to the doctor! (thats a positive thought) but then i got really scared because the doctor ordered bloodtest and now im scared because what if i got kidney problems or diabetes or something else..:think...i know that most lapbanders had health issues prior to surgery but will the surgery happen if something is found in my bloodtest so soon prior to surgery? :help:
