  1. I have it occasionally. Sorry I don't know how to stop it!
  2. If you are able, without it hurting, to drink fast, is it okay to do so? I find myself gulping and it doesn't hurt but I was wondering if there was another reason for not drinking fast? Thanks!
  3. My goodness, that's great. When was your surgery? My surgery was Oct 22 & I've only lost 12 pounds! Congrats!
  4. Bronxmerci, I'm going to quit whining about my problems. Bless your heart! Keep us posted!
  5. My doctor gave me a prescription for zofran and an ear patch before my surgery. I wore the ear patch for surgery but still have the zofran. I thought it was for nausea? I also don't have any energy, if it'll help for energy, I'll take it. I had a bypass and am 5 weeks out.
  6. Prayers for you! Keep us posted.
  7. How far out did you starting feeling "good"? I'm 5 weeks out and yesterday was horrible. I'd say I have maybe 3 good days out of a week. Just started the foamies so I guess my throat is waking up. I'm afraid to try any more foods. I can have soft fish, but salmon the other night did not go down well, plus I just didn't like the taste.
  8. I had my first episode of foamies after eating Salmon last night and it's still happening today!
  9. Also today I've started foaming when I drink my water!
  10. I'm sorry Amylynns, keep us posted! No, I don't see my doc or P.A. until Dec. 5th and I don't know if it's routine for them to run labs then or not. Maybe just based on how I'm feeling? Bless your heart, at least I don't have kids at home! But I do work full time but I'm surely not earning my pay!
  11. Had my surgery Oct 22. I am so TIRED all the time. Taking a shower just plumb wears me out, is anyone else having this issue? I'm getting plenty of Protein and Water.
  12. My surgery was Oct 22, 2014. I just re read my guidelines and realized I'm only supposed to eat 1/4 cup of food until 6 months. When I eat food, I've been eating 1/2 cup? What does your guidelines say? 1/2 Cup does not hurt to eat, but my nerves may not have healed. I posted this elsewhere but didn't many replies. Thanks! Also I'm soooo tired, to take a shower just wears me plub out!
  13. I keep seeing stuff about spaghetti squash. Can you buy this already made or do you buy squash and cut it up yourself?
  14. I realize this is an older thread but a great one! Thank you!
  15. Everything is so overwhelming. I drink a lot of protein shakes but I've been trying to get some meals in and I'v been eating 1/2 cup. I got out my guidelines and reread (they're not very well organized) and saw I'm only supposed to be eating 1/4 C until I'm 6 months out and then I can move up to 1/2 Cup. I hope I haven't stretched my pouch already. It doesn't hurt to eat that much but my nerves may not have healed yet.
  16. Well I don't know if it's in my head or what, but it seems like my vision is worse after the surgery?
  17. freelyme, I am in the same boat as you. My surgery was Oct. 22nd. I sometimes wonder if they did anything in there at all! I'm following all the rules and as of this morning I'm only down 9 pounds. I weigh everyday and I know I shouldn't. My pants are baggy and my ring is loose, that's the only way I can tell any difference! It's very depressing! I definitely have buyers remorse. Let's hope that we both have a happier story to tell in the next 6 months!
  18. If my protein drink is my meal, do I need to wait 30 minutes before I start drinking my water?
  19. If my Protein drink is my meal, do I need to wait 30 minutes before I start drinking my Water?
  20. I had surgery 10/22 and as of today I've only lost 9 pounds. I get all my protein in and my water. It's very depressing! I was walking outside until it turned cold. I start back to work tomorrow and will join the gym and use the treadmill. I have a treadmill at home but for some reason, have an adversion to using it! Isn't that weird.
  21. I never go over 700 calories a day. I have a booklet guide from my nutritionist but it doesn't meantion the size of the protein drinks, just how many protein grams I should be getting....
  22. It just dawned on me that our pouch is only supposed to hold 5 ounces. I regularly drink between 8 to 11 oz of protein drinks. Is that wrong? Should I split that in half. If I drink the whole 11 ounces does the protein absorb in our body or go right through. I'm a very slow looser.
  23. I'm in the same boat, never eat over 700 calories and yet have only lost about 10 pounds, varies from day to day!
  24. I'm just a little over 2 weeks out. Should I not put ore than 1/2 cup in my pouch at once?
