Sex drive before and after surgery?
I remember (seems like ages ago) after I started to lose after being banded my drive went through the roof, too. Now that I have put on weight (and gotten older) it has gone back down again. But it is still there. I think I have to agree that desire can be effected by meds, weight, hormones and self-esteem. Being able to move and breath is a great aphrodisiac!

Surgery in two days
Yep me too Pink!

I cannot believe it
I'm still waiting to hear from insurance for a reversal from a lapband to RNY. I was denied last year and I will probably be denied again. But I'm ready to fight! congrats on your approval!

Any Regrets?
WLS patients will always have to watch their carb intake, even once they reach their goal. It is a reality. I didn't watch mine and gained almost all of my weight back (with the band).

Gwynnie Bee Clothing Exchange
Unless you are an executive type it is expensive. If you ARE an executive type, or have to dress to the nine's for your job, this would be the PERFECT place for you if you are changing clothes sizes that fast.

Barium Swallow Shows Band Not in Right Place...But Not a Slip...?
Spoke to my Dr. , he said band is not in the best position but he has seen worse. He doesn't think it will effect me, but it might help to have insurance remove it. Of course I want a revised surgery to RNY, not just my band removed!

Insurance requiring 5 years of consecutive diagnosed obesity! Anyone else have this in their policy?
BCBS is requiring that I have 5 years of a BMI of 40 before I can switch from the Lap Band to the RNY! IWell I can't show that because I had WLS 7 years ago! 2 years after my surgery I was the lowest, but then I started to gain. Had my first denial back in November, 2014. I'm probably going to get my second soon. I will contact lindstrom obesity advocacy.

I was denied!
I have a question - has anyone heard of someone being denied because they lost too much weight? My BMI is right on the line. I have the band and want to go to a RNY. I'm just curious... thanks!

Band Removal Approved; BYPASS DENIED!

My Guy LIKES big Women...
Last night my guy said that he wondered (with a smile on his face) what I would be like thin, and the idea excited him. Nice!

My Guy LIKES big Women...
I want my energy and health back; I want to be able to walk into any store and look for clothes; I want to wake up in the morning feeling alive; I don't want to be chained to my food addictions; I want to sit in an airplane seat and not have my thighs turn the volume up on the headphones (yes, this has happened!); I want to wave without being hit in my face by my underarm or have my arm drag in the ranch dressing at a salad buffet (yes, both of these have happened, too!); I want to get on a bus without thinking to myself where the largest seat is; I want to sit in a chair and have no fear of breaking it; I don't want to be the biggest person at an event; I want to live to be a ripe old age (there aren't any fat, really old ladies out there)!...all of these IMHO are far more important then how much "stuff" I have for someone (no matter how much I love them!) to squeeze at night. I'm just saying!

My Guy LIKES big Women...
@@Pinkgirl1234 What I was wondering was if there were women out there whose SO didn't like their weight loss, or preferred their bigger bodies, more. What I'm finding is that most men love their partners for who they are and not what they look like. Its pretty much what I thought. I think if a man had a problem with their SO's weight loss it probably had more to do with the dynamics of their relationship changing more then the change of the physical body.

My Guy LIKES big Women...
He's not an "idiot" for liking big woman (people like who they like - why would THAT make someone an idiot??!!) and he loves me no matter what my size. That wasn't the point of my question. Of course my health is most important, and my guy supports me 100% in trying to get a reversal to RNY. He fell in love with me for who I am and I'm glad he finds me sexy as I am!

Obesity! Will that word follow me to the grave :(
I have to agree that there is probably not one person on this site who hasn't had to endure the prejudices of the medical staff because if their weight. Been there!

Obesity! Will that word follow me to the grave :(
IMHO, I feel like I will always be an obese person, no matter what my weight. I've been morbidly obese, normal weight, and back to obese many times that my weight and health WILL always be something I will have to fight for.

My heart keeps getting stomped on
So VERY, very true!! The best revenge IS to be super happy! (its a revenge that doesn't come back and bite you in the a** (unlike, say, putting sand in his gas tank. I don't recommend that haha!)

@RJ'S/beginning I think she should not have shown you what he said. It was unprofessional of her. It was too upsetting.

Unsolicited Online Dating Advice
@@VSGAnn2014 I do have to back peddle on what I said at first. There is no "time line" on when people are ready. My fiancee started dating as soon as his divorce papers were signed. Me? I was a reluctant dater!! And the "suspend judgement" - very true! @@OKCPirate Yes - "...have an open spirit to possibilities and enjoy the company of another human being." True!
