October 2014 sleevers check in please!
I was on a chalky stuff for 2 weeks but I haven't had any heart burn since the surgery. I really hope I no longer need Prilosec.

Any 400 lbs or more sleeves?
Bigjoey, what type of exercises were you doing at 385? I'm looking for ideas. My friends are recommending cross fit but my mind is saying low impact.

Any 400 lbs or more sleeves?
I'm happy to report I'm no longer a member of the 400's club. I'm not 385 and happy that its been 8 years since I have weighed this weight. I wish I knew more of my weight milestones as the years went on. Its like turning back the clock on my life.

Work attention
So I returned to work this week and I'm getting a lot of attention regarding how much weight I have lost and how good I look. (80lbs) I'm not used to getting much attention so I really don't know what to say but to thank them. I keep telling people I have a long way to go and I'm just taking it a step at a time. I don't know why I'm not as excited as my friends. Perhaps its the fear of failure..

Anyone else turning into an a-hole
VSGAnn2014, I already said I was turning into an a-hole. Protip? Are you in the counseling field. I guess what it boils down to is, most of what I'm saying are feeling I've had for a long time and I just dont have a mechanism to bottle those feelings inside. My therapist is 90 minutes from me so I don't see him that often but I do have an appt on Monday. Hopefully I can figure a better way to cope and express my thoughts constructively.

Surgical Bariatrics Northwest: Idaho, self pay special
Wanted to spread the word that my NUT is running a self pay special of $9999 for a sleeve and I think $12,000 for a RNY.

Anyone else turning into an a-hole
Apparently I'm turning into a major first class a-hole. I'm just not willing to tuck tail or take anyone's crap. Usually that is not me. Problem is I like that I'm opening up and telling people my feelings instead of stuffing those feeling down my throat in the form of calories. I don't like however how it makes my family feel when I do it. I suppose that is what counseling is for. -Ken

Oh my goodness. Scrambled egg, a little cheese, a little mayo and saracha. It was like eating a egg sandwich without the bread. Tasted so freaking good. It's the little things lol

October 2014 sleevers check in please!
What is up with me? 5 days till stage two foods (puree to mushy) and after almost five weeks, I cheat and have a scrambled egg for breakfast. I was fine and oh my it was good but I thought I was stronger. As mentioned by a lot of others, I to am getting really tired of protein shakes and broth. Ugh.

October 2014 sleevers check in please!
I guess there is one advantage to not owning a scale that holds my size. I weigh myself one a week at the clinic down the street.

Sounds like I might have picked a strict surgeon. Two weeks full liquids pre and 3 weeks of full liquids post op.

October 2014 sleevers check in please!
Elaine Sunday, I feel for you. My guess is the short pre op diet is a big cause of your cravings. Just my hunch though. Best wishes, Ken

October 2014 sleevers check in please!
Oct-13 here. Lost 17 since surgery. Not getting in protein or water requirements yet and started talking walks today. I know I'm behind on the walking but it has rained for several days. I'm on full liquids till November 5th when I have my 3 week check up. I did have a puree tomato for lunch and it went well except for the super small portion. Congrats to everyone else.

Anyones spouse having a hard time?
Thank you to everyone for there responses. She has been supportive. Like Jersrose43 mentioned, she is just frustrated. I like the suggestions of soups and in a couple weeks, once I can actually have soup without straining it, our choices will be better. Regarding drinking, I was the DD before and will be now too. Even one drink always gave me the biggest headache. Last night she came home from work and we went and saw the equalizer. Kiss ass movie BTW. Great night up to the point where i had to tell her no to sex (sorry, tmi) yesterday was not a good day regarding Water consumption and Protein intake and I felt like shit for it. V/r, Ken

Anyones spouse having a hard time?
My wife is pretty frustrated that for the last 4 weeks I have not wanted to participate in going out. I mean like going to a sit down diner or to the bar. She feels like she's on this liquid diet. I'm annoyed because I'm not telling her she can't go do whatever but I do not want to go and sit in a diner or bar and watch my spouse or any others eat when I'm still on liquids. Yeah I'm a bummer of a guy right now and it sucks dealing with a crabby wife because she's not getting her party on. Give me time, I will be back in fun guy mode in no time.

Any 400 lbs or more sleeves?
My peak weight in May 2014 was 464. Lost 57 before my surgery on Oct-13 and as of last Monday lost an additional 10 lbs. Curious if anyone out there was or is in my same situation. Ie. ~250 lbs to lose. Thanks, Ken
