hi! i am dancing on the ceiling: just got medicarea pproved this morning and learned this afternoon that i have a lapband surgery date of May 20th. this is exciting plus afriend said he'd send mea hundred doolars for my shakes preop and post! yipeeee!i am concerned about the preop diet: all liquids and Protein shakes...any hints on how many days of gnawing hunger might ensue? thanks m aaaaaaaaaa

MAY 20 here too.myd octor has a clothes closet for all of us to amke an appt and go thru for nice used clothing of different sizesas we go.he hAS a great support group too,i need thsias i got no support after my gastric bypass in 2000.

i had my byoass at age 46 and lost 200 thengained back 100 with a strteched out pouch.am having revision surgery by a lapband at 59 anyboday share any of this in common plz?

i hate feeling full.i can't wait to find out what done feels like. surgery on may20th.

Dear Blessed Beyond Measure: i am blessed beyond measure too...God made awa y fo rm to have revision surgery ---lapband this time. u go girl, Jesus is the way. i am asking for alot of prayer for my preop diet and reduction in appetite.and that i will survive the surgery---i have too much scar tissue for a laporoscopic procedure so am hvaing open surgery and will be psending 2-3 days in thtehospital,i hope u will stayi in touch with me. i need spiritual support too. thanks

thanks everyone: itoo have heard negatives on the banding but i am not going to let that stop me. i am having a bypass revision to the band May20 and i know i can do it.i lost 200 and gianed back 100 and i had no support so i know what to do now and i am motivated to use my tool to the best of my abiity.plenty of people have been very successful with the band and i want to be in that majority.Don'tlet anyone rain on ur parade.

hello people! i am so excited today...i just found out that medicare has approved me for lapband revision surgery! now i am waiting for a pre-op appt.,meeting agian wiht the NUT and psych evaluation. i pray i can have the surgery in May as hoped for.finally a second chancce to lose at least 120 pounds.i have been desperat as i lost 200 from my gastric bypass and had gained back 100. i can use all the prayers adn advice i can get so plz feel free to reach me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!on cloud nine,abbagirl

First of all,Happy Easter----by the grace of God u have survived your surgery!i trust ur doing well as u seem to be ready fooor stage two. ihope u r sleeping okay and that ur reealtively painfree. iam awaitng insurance approval for a revisioo of a bypass by lapbnding. i hope u will get alot of responses to help u in ur journey-------all the best to u.
