Hi! I'm Katie. I'm currently going through all the pre-op work up but hopefully will have my surgery soon. I live in Middletown. I'd love to get to know people who are also on this journey. It's taken me years to get up the nerve to do this, but I'm only 39 & hope this will give me the health benefits to be around for a long time.

I'm a month out and Constipation has been my biggest issue. I tried Miralax & fiber. Milk of Magnesia is the only thing that works for me. It's pretty gentle but it may take two doses to get things moving. So frustrating!

I had gastric bypass done on 6/24/14. Have any if you experienced anxiety or tearfulness after surgery? I think physically I am progressing well but my emotions are a mess. Sometimes I am so anxious I can't leave the house to even go walking. Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel so tired, overwhelmed, and ill equipped to handle all the changes taking place. I'd appreciate any insight anyone has as I'm feeling pretty sad & overwhelmed.
