  1. Hey everyone!

As a requirement for surgery I have to make a 3 day menu. My problem is that I don't like most of the items on the list. I don't like yogurt or cottage cheese. I have never eaten refried Beans. I have to have between 75-100g of Protein everyday. I want to be prepared so that I will not have problems after the surgery.

What are some of the things that you guys ate during this phase of your journey.

I don't have a surgery date yet, my final pre-op visit is Monday, April 14 and I am hoping to be scheduled before the end of the month (is that realistic?).

I am so glad I found this site. My husband thinks I am crazy because for the past week, I have been reading all these post.

  2. That is wonderful Wickedbeauty, I am so glad that you have your approval. I am waiting on my date as well. I have had my approval from the insurance for a while, was waiting on my stress test results (which got lost...).

My appointment for pre-op is April 14 and I hope to get my surgery date then. I can not wait to make this change in my life.

  3. Hey there guys this is a report for the diabetes people. So before my surgery I had a hb A1c of 10.2 % and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to have the surgery at all because my sugars ran around 290 everyday and so I am proud to announce that my sugars run around 100 or less now and my hb A1c is 5.2%. Praise the Lord, I never took another metformin once I left the hospital on my surgery day. I went down from 278 to 207 in 6 months. I have had alot of plateus but I am making it.

That is AWESOME, I am not diabetic, but my husband is and I know the struggle he has.

  4. Thank you for your reply. I'm glad you told me about how long it would take so I can adjust my schedule at work. Will I be given my surgery date at this visit? If so how far out is it given, I have vacation planned in July and just want to be sure I will have enough time to heal before going.

  5. I've heard that too about Dr woodman. Buy heard his surgeries are successful for the most part. I used Weaver.

Just joined this site and doing some research. I saw where Dr. Weaver did your surgery. Congrats on your weight loss! I am waiting on final approval from BCBS IL for approval. Dr. Weaver will be performing my sleeve. What procedure did you have? I have done all the preliminary requirements. Everything was submitted on 3/28. Anxiously waiting for it to be finalized.

Dr. Weaver is my surgeon too! I'm nervous and excited. My pre-op appointment is 4/14 and I was wondering what to expect.
