  1. You should always do what your doctor has suggested and we all know that each doctor is different. I can only do soft veggies and meats. I'm having a hard time getting all my Protein in. I hate the shakes but if I don't drink them, then my Protein is way off. I'm trying to transition to eating more food and less on the Protein Shakes but it hard.

I am allotted 100gms of carbs so I sometimes eat crackers with my tuna.. But I no a lot of people stay away from carbs totally.

In the end, do as your physician has ordered.

  2. <p>Thirty-two pounds in eight weeks is an average of four pounds a week. By my calculation, you have about 70 lbs more to lose. So, if you continue with an average of four pounds a week, you'll be at goal in roughly four and a half months. Surgery to goal and a whole new you in six and a half months - if you ask me you're doing absolutely fabulous!! Congratulations!!

Great DL!! Great positive post!!! I'll keep this in mind when I'm feeling low!

  3. I hope everyone has a better day tomorrow. Today I had tuna and it was good. I did not have any trouble eating it. It is really hard to not drink when you eat and chew chew chew makes you not want to eat. We have to think so much about every bite. However I am grateful for the ability to eat. I just have to remember to take it all slow. I am glad that my doctor is not a rigid with my diet, she lets you do pureed/ soft just as long as you chew chew chew. So that's good. It has helped improve my attitude.

  4. Kookichu,

You are an excellent writer!!! Reading your post was like reading a good book! I think you are doing awesome an I want to thank you for your continued updates... Many times we follow someone's post and then they stop posting and we are left wondering... Keep up the good work and you are doing awesome!

  5. My April Buddies,

I hate to hear of any difficulties anyone is having. I do get nauseated after eating and especially after drinking the Protein. It makes me feel really bad. Not so much after drinking Water. I was able to "eat" some last night and it went down pretty good.. I out eat in parenthesis because I can only get down a tiny amount. But I am thankful for that!

Gixxergirl please take care if yourself!! You've been doing so good, I pray it all corrects itself.

I'm officially 2 weeks post op today and this is the first day I have felt more like me... I'm talking about from a mental standpoint. I have been so depressed.

  6. I'm in my feelings because they told me to stay away from grits and it's the one thing I've been wanting to eat.

I'm sorry Gixxergirl!!! I know how you feel!!! I was allowed to have eggs yesterday!! I was so excited but when I ate them it didn't taste good... I only had a very small amount... I was depressed again but today is a new day and I'm gonna try it again. Not eggs but tuna today!!!! Whoop whoop!

I did eat 2 Peanut Butter crackers yesterday and they were yummy!!!!

The nectar one it's ok . Do you guys think it's to soon to mix my protein with fruits

I don't know about mixing with fruit, but I do know I would go crazy with one more week of liquids!!! Praying for puréed!

  8. I am 10 months out and could not be happier with my decision. I have lost more that 185 pounds and just purchased SIZE 6 jeans. My results have surpassed my wildest fantasies! That said, those first weeks are really tough, or were for me. When I was able to eat it didn't feel anything like a meal. I just wanted to feel normal again. Not with junk food or eating a lot, but having a meal that looked a bit like the plate you see with the recommendations for healthy eating. It takes time, but you will get there. Stay true to your plan. You are going to love the new you!

I am almost 2 weeks post op, but I'm still in regret stage... I don't regret it totally.. I know it will change my life, but I've been so depressed for these two weeks, I'm just ready for some sort or normal????
