    March 2014 Sleevers

Slow losses here too, but I'm Okay with that and I know that pumping up my physical activity would improve my results. My. body feels so much better getting 80+ lbs off. I'm still 50 lbs from my ultimate goal. My next mini-goal is 100 lbs loss, I'll be there by the end of January at the latest. I remember Holiday seasons past where I would dread what the scales would do. So far my biggest worry is what to wear.... Lots of xxx clothes have been donated.....

    March 2014 Sleevers

I still have my restriction. I really feel it when I eat dense foods. I played tennis twice this week and am looking at 3 lbs weight loss this week after a stall. My sleeve has worked for me as expected, but it's not a magic pill, it is a great tool. If you don't use this tool correctly it will not work and could be dangerous..... 70 lbs down since my high in January.

Able to eat way more than I thought I would

Good articles Hawk, especially the last one. It mentions about a 5% increase over time. I'd say that's still "not like it used to be". I like the books suggested in one of the links. I didn't know there was a Bariatrics for Dummies. Some of those are really well written.

    Being alone post-op

It's fun to read the variety of responses, and this gives you a taste of the variety of the group's experience. I was in the hospital 2 nights and took advantage of the pain meds the hospital offered. Once home, I took Baby Tylenol on occasion, but no narcotics. My sister spent one night at my house, but I was able to get around and didn't need her at that point, but truly enjoyed her company. I started at 270 with no complications so I had it easy. Your starting point and how active you are in advance of your surgery will also determine how well you can get around just after surgery. Walking a dog will be great for you, but expect to get tired quickly. I had about a week of nap attacks. I'd be fine then out of nowhere, I'd need to lay down to nap. It's a wild ride, welcome to the club!!!!
