Anyone out there dealing with sleep Apnea with a CPAP. What issues did you encounter post op.

Hi,
Only thing I noticed post op is that I often awake with a dry mouth and have to sip some water. Not sure what is causing this. I'm down a lot of weight so maybe I need to have the pressure checked? Could be that it is venting out my mouth when I sleep and drying it out. Having my CPAP was a requirement for my surgery. Best of luck to you!

Tomorrow is 3 weeks Post op and I am a little discouraged at how slow the weight is coming off as I had a horrible start to all this?

Agreed! I only lost 39 pounds in 4 weeks and I am a 5'11" man. Percentage wise for a woman your doing fine. The important part is the marathon NOT the sprint. IF you lost a mere 2 pounds a week instead of the 7 you lost in 1 year you would lose 104 pounds! Think long term gal! Hang in there, seems like I am just a week in front of you.

Pupichupi,
My doc says that for every gram of glycerin in the muscle there is like 3 more of water so the very first week we lose a lot cause it's water weight but then it's all fat and it took us a long time to collect it so it will take a while to get rid of it. I went from 30 pounds weight loss in 2 weeks to 9 the my 3rd and 4th weeks so I saw a big slowing also. Just hang in there and think long term!
