  1. I had surgery march 26th and since that day I've lost 35 lbs. I think your doing great. I had a 2 week period where I hit a wall then on day 15 I weighed and had lost 5 lbs. Funny how that works. From now on I'm only weighing once per month. Good luck and best wishes.

I think that this is a good idea! I am going to be sleeved this fall and I am taking all the advice

  2. I had to do a six month medically supervised weight loss plan, too. At first I was mad--I wanted the surgery done immediately! But now that I am done with all that and surgery is TOMORROW (!) I am grateful that I had the six months to make the necessary changes to my habits (quitting drinking soda, cutting down on caffeine, practicing Portion Control, tracking Protein intake, getting more active, etc.) I don't think I would have been prepared if I had had the surgery a month or two in!

It does go by pretty quickly. :) Best of luck to you!

I am so glad to hear that!! I am super excited! ! Can't wait to start my new life for sure!!!

  3. with my insurance, I have to stay at a bmi of @least 40 for the 6 months. I know this is counter productive. But this is what my insurance requires. I already have a date to turn in my paperwork. It it September 8th and it usually about s week foe approval. So I am hoping for a sept 30 th surgery daye!!! Fingers crossed

  4. I was so afraid that just having a bmi of 40.4 would not be enough but the dr said that it will be no problem with the insurance, I also am starting my 6 month diet monday april 21st, my psych eval is may 10th, my swallowing test is may 12th and my nutrition class is may 17th. I just need to get my egd scheduled and I am set. Just have to keep my bmi above 40 and I should be turning in my paper work in mid sept. And I found the greatest thing!!! I don't need to do a two pre op diet yeah I am so glad.
