Thanks. I'll be happy when I get more input from my surgeon next week.

I was told to take B 12 post op, 500 mcg/day. I did that. I saw my pcp at about 2 1/2 months post op due to feeling no energy. She ordered a bunch of lab work, except for my tsh level (due to a different issue)and everything came back normal except for the B 12, which was too high. She told me to stop the B12 until I see the surgeon next week.
I looked up what I could and apparently B12 is Water soluble, and any excess would be excreted in urine. An elevated B12 level is pretty rare. Has it happened to anybody else? It can be a symptom of other problems, like liver or kidney issues and things like that.
It's been on my mind...

I'm away from home for business. I'm three months out. I brought sardines to eat in my hotel room for dinner--no fork! There is a set up for coffee--next time I'm bringing Decaf tea. I brought milk in a box to make a Protein shake, and I had to poke it open with a pen. Live and learn.
Good thing it's only one night.

I actually used the ramen packet and tossed the noodles.

I think you raise a reasonable point, but then again, as you said you will have to get over it. I can't say I share your concern. On the other hand, I am the one who does 99% of the cooking.

Three months later mine still itch

I did exactly that. I also added hot oil to give it an extra kick.

Good for you! I understand the feeling. I regret that I waited so long to do this.

Thank you!

I was scheduled to have the preliminary work for a crown at 9:00 this morning. Prior to my appt I had 4 glasses of water/tea. No food. I was in the dentist's chair for almost 2 hours. When the novocaine wore off, I was in WAY more pain than when I had my surgery. I was almost incapacitated. In hindsight, I am convinced that no Water and no food = misery. Ever since, I have felt unable to eat much of anything, but I was finally able to drink by about 4 pm, and I feel like I can't get enough to drink.
So I'm sharing in case anyone finds him/herself in a similar situation.

Congratulations!!

Why would they even be testing for thc? It's definitely not the norm to do drug testing. It's nobody's business if you use thc.

I agree 100%. I am wearing a 14 now. I took my old size 18 jeans out of the attic and I couldn't even get my legs into them. No wonder I'm so confused! I have to try everything on. (Even pjs?? LOL.)

With the new and improved app, I am often getting a screen that says "no topics"when I try to look at the forums! Very frustrating.

I am eleven weeks out and struggling a bit. I just made an appt with my pcp to discuss. But I am on synthroid.

I use it. I keep a bag on my desk at work. I even mix it into my tea in the morning if I'm anticipating a hectic day.

It's one thing to have ads, but these huge ads that come out of nowhere are endlessly annoying.

Four years?! Omg!
The answer to the question is that you can choose from any recipes that help you toward your goal. I choose recipes that are high in Protein, and secondarily with as much Fiber as possible from plants/veggies. I don't have those cookbooks, but I'm sure there are recipes that will work.
Btw, I didn't know she had recipes for one. I may have to look into that.

You look beautiful to me.

Congratulations!! Happy for you!

I have found that having adequate fats in my diet are at least as helpful as Protein.
