    Walking shoes? Help

I love my Brooks Pure Cadence and I find them for less than half price on eBay--new.
  2. Omg. Itsmeagain, we must be sisters. I was sleeved June 25th and I'm down 43 lbs total, including pre-op. I try not to read the posts about phenomenal amounts of weight lost. It's too discouraging.

    By definition; I'm 'normal'.

    Congrats! Great post.

    Sinus issues

Get a neti pot. They are little miracles.
  5. I am five months out. My loss has been slow. Still, I don't regret it for a minute and I only wish I had done this when I was your age. Of course there are huge adjustments, and like everything in life there are the pluses and minuses..

  8. I'm about five months post op and my urinary frequency is still a big issue. Still getting up every night. But the stress incontinence is resolved, thank goodness.
  9. Best to you. Sure sounds like an allergic reaction. I have a lot of med allergies so I can relate.

    tired all the time

I felt the same way at five weeks. It took a good few months to get my energy back.
  11. I have always had the same problem. My loss is super slooooooow compared to others. But I keep telling mysel to trust the process. Many people have been where I am. Patience. If you are doing what you were instructed it will happen for you. Good luck.
  12. I am 4 months out and I eat beans and veggies, but since introducing them I've noticed that I have to be even more focused on the protein. It's too easy to slack off.
  13. I have the Ninja Pro and I'm very happy with it.

    Heart burn post op

As far as the noisy stomach, mine is just randomly gurgly every day and I'm 4 months out.

    I keep forgetting

    Congratulations!!
  16. I'm almost four months out and I keep forgetting that the way I used to eat is a thing of the past. I forget that eating in restaurants won't be the same, or that I when I cook for my family, chances are I'll only have a couple of bites of food ( so I end up preparing too much). On my way home from work I'll contemplate taking the family out to eat and then realize it doesn't make much sense at this point. It's such a change of mindset. I'm just wondering when this will really sink in.

    Slow loser in East, TX

I am a slow loser too. I had my surgery 6/25 and I'm just about 30 lb down, though 40 lbs down from my highest weight. I have to make sure I get at least 4 glasses of liquids down before breakfast. (Not water. I hate water. I often drink decaf chai or plain tea.) I don't have as much trouble with protein, but I do recommend genepro powder as its tasteless and has a lot of protein and can be mixed with hot liquids without the fuss of other unflavored protein.
  18. I saw a bumper sticker that said "don't assume I share your prejudices."

    What can you eat?

I am 3 months out. I might reply to what I can't eat. I can eat most things. Depending on the day I have found a lot of variation, and something that was fine yesterday causes some discomfort the next day. It is very individualized. I cannot tolerate eggs, and for awhile milk and dairy products in general were a no-no. But 95% of the time I can eat what makes sense from a nutritional point of view and be fine.
  21. I started taking Biotin immediately after surgery. I'm past 3 months now and it doesn't seem to have done anything for my hair. But my nails are fantastic. Better than they've ever been in my life. Just saying.

    Looking to connect

That's me, pre op. I'm now 3+ months out and down to 201. Good luck! When is your surgery?
