  1. I think we're in the slow loser club...I'm at 56 at 4 months...my husband (sleeved the same day) is down 90 pounds! I hear we're not supposed to compare ourselves with others...so I keep telling myself. :)

Ikr...smh....I wonder what we can be doing to get there? I could definitely exercise more though :-/

  2. Same here. I get plenty of compliments and see the weight loss a little but I still feel the same lol...I'm down 2 pant sizes as well. I guess I'm ready to c a HUGE change. I've lost 50lbs, I'm at 13 was now. I feel I shouldve lost more at this point. I haven't lost any weight in 2 1/2 wks. Really discouraing

  3. I went to the gym for the 1st time too and I think I did great. I focused on leg toning, and arms with 4lb weights. My legs are a Lil sorry but not too sore. It was a start. I stayed at the gym for an hr....hopefully within a wk or so I'm able to pick up the momentum and do more!! Excited to start getting this body into shape! 9 wks post op n down 63Lbs!!! Feeling good!!!

  4. I'll keep u in my prayers, it ducks to feel like this. I was told getting reflux under control can take some time, but I'm hoping tht we both fight through this sooner than later. I've lost 52, 37 lbs since surgery and I'm not enjoying it be all this pain and discomfort I'm in :-/ I know it will get better, it's Jus discouraging to be Goin through this at 2 months...

  5. I Called My doc And They schd Me an Appt Tomorrow. I had the stomach bacteria called h pylori and they stopped the treatment for it bc it was making me sick at the beginning of surgery. The bacteria causes reflux, so I think thts wats wrong. How far out are u? It sucks to feel this way bc it makes me not want to eat bc my stomach hurts...I'm not leaving tht office until this is cured lol

  6. Does anyone else have trouble sleeping through the night? 3rd day post op and it's been like this since I came home. I used to sleep 8-10 hours no problem. No I'm lucky if I get 3-4 before waking up. And then it takes forever to go back to sleep. Ugh.

That does change and you will go back to sleeping through, I was the same and it lasted about 10 days.

I was sleeved on the 3rd March, the first week was sheer hell, I came round from the op in complete agony and then I took an infection in the largest of the incisions and had to be put on strong antibiotics to clear it.

I struggled like crazy for the first week to get fluids in, tea tasted disgusting, Water was horrid, and I was miserable and wondering what the hell I had done to myself. Week 2 was not much better, I was still sore from the infection and got hit with horrible head hunger, I ended up crying over my husband making himself toast of all things. By half way through the second week I was feeling so much better and had got a grip on the head hunger and the fluids and was reaching targets easily through swapping to sugar free squash. I was even able to start enjoying a cuppa again.

I still can not tolerate Protein drinks or powders, they are the one thing that makes me sick, so this week my dietician gave me the all clear to start eating soft meats like minced beef, turkey and chicken in gravy and deli ham etc in order to get Protein in and so far so good, I am feeling so much better and being able to eat more normal foods is great.

So to anyone struggling it does get easier and goes get so much better.

Thanks for the encouragement!!! I really needed that!!!

  7. Had my sleeve on 3-3-14, I'm post op day 20 and last wk I was re-hospitalize for dehydration. I've had it rough. I sleep a lot therefore I'm not eating like I should. It's hard. I'm still at the point where I regret it, but hoping it gets better. I go back to wrk in 3 wks so I'm hoping I get the hang of this in the next wk or so. Down 26 lbs since surgery, but not enjoying the weight loss bc I'm always sick. Please keep me posted on you guys progress
