Omg I've used that tea in the past. I don't know about anyone else, but I had the worse cramping and aches from it. But those went away soon after the tea kicked in lol -

I have asked my surgeon how many incisions I'd have. He said 4-5, if the liver hasn't shrunk enough he'd have To do 5, but if it was nice and shrunk and didn't have to move it only 4

I am also December 2!! I started my pre-op diet last Wednesday. 2 weeks Good luck to everyone! At my last visit the receptionist said " see you on the other side" -
I know right! Lol Even when I was at the most extreme at dieting, I never , ever would do this intentionally to myself

I'm on Day 4 of the pre-op diet and it is awful! Lol To think I have 10 days left makes me sad. Granted , I've lost 7 lbs since Tuesday ( today is Friday ) it is still very hard.

I am getting nervous as far as post op pain goes. I've had 2 c-sections and trying to get out of bed after that was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life. Now that being said. Where is the pain? Incision sites? Stomach itself? I just want to be prepared. My friend had the by pass Done in August and never had any pain issues. I guess we're all different

@@chip305 I also have a dec 2 date. I started today too. I'm pretty sure I ate a half of a bag of baby carrots lol they said if I get hungry between times then eat veggies. So I did.

I needed to tell them. Because I needed 5 weeks off due to the heavy lifting at my job. I told them I needed surgery, that's it. No one knows the type of surgery. Just that I will be out for 5 weeks to recoup. -
I just got my two week diet today. Not all liquid though like I thought. It's 3 protein shakes, 2 fruits, 1protein bar, one meal 300 cal or less and all the no starch veggies I want. Then the 24 hrs before is all liquid. It's funny how every surgeon is different

I work at a long term / rehab. Staffing is always an issue. I got my date and now it's time to tell HR. Problem is, I don't know how? I used about half my FMLA earlier this year and now I only have enough left for about 4 or 5 weeks and I need 6 weeks off. I want to be open and tell them I'm having VSG, but don't want the whole facility to know lol Uhg, I need some advise Thanks

I am an LNA and my job is very strenuous. I have to be out 5 weeks tops. I found out I have 4 1/2 weeks FMLA left so I'm pretty excited about that -
@nprcowboy- yowza! You are having a rough time. Gosh, have you called your doc? I haven't heard yet, of so many issues post op. I'm waiting for mine (dec 2.) From the 2 Pre-op seminars I had to go to, none of them spoke of pain after the hospital or any of those things you mentioned. Oh boy, looks like I'm in for a ride lol

How long does the gas hang around anyway? Where does it get trapped? I take it burping and tooting doesn't make it better?

Those thigh high compression stockings are where it's at!! I put on and take those off Patients all the time! I hope you didn't have them for to long, those are a pain to put on lol -
