  1. Thank you! This is very inspiring. I'm counting down...my date is Sept 26. Reading stuff like this gets me past the fear of the surgery itself and off course the lifestyle change. God bless! 30 days more and my life will start anew, hopefully like all the others in this forum...happier and healthy life!
  2. Yup it's like when one hears a song and that song repeats over and over in your head! All I hear I in my head is "I can't wait" over and over and over and over! Even when I see my reflection at a window...that inner voice sounds! It's crazy, but good crazy...Sept 26...can't wait!!!! LOL

    Date... Sept 26!

Thanks! Sleeve! I originally wanted to do lap band! But did not want the hassle of filling or refilling or worry about slippage or having a foreign object in my body.

  13. LOL! You're not alone! nothing else matters! If I could call my bariatric doctors office just to chat, I would
  14. Kelew39...thanks my insurance is GEHA
  15. So, just because, I decided to call my insurance company to check status on pre-cert. I was expecting them to say we just got it, it should take 5-10 days or something like that. Instead the person on the other line said " it's been approved" and she even read what I was approved for and gave me authorization number! It was that simple...and I was so worried of not getting approved! New me here I come!
  16. Had my last appointment yesterday and had all tests done before yesterday...forms submitted by doctors office! Now the long wait...not actually that long, but for someone as anxious as me, a day could feel like a week, and a week feels like a month! Hope all goes well!
  17. today is my 6th doctor visit and last of 6! Down to the last straw of this journey! Then my paperwork gets submitted to GEHA insurance! I hope that process goes smoothly as the last 6 months! Hope to be sleeved early October!
  18. Getting really excited! My last doc visit of six is this Aug 12! Got my X-ray done today. Will get blood test on Monday, then Nut visit on Tuesday. Finally my last doc visit before they send in paper work to get approved with insurance! Feeling very anxious with the insurance part... I hope it goes smoothly with them! Hoping to get it done first week of October. I have GEHA as my insurance...has anyone in this forum go through them and did they give you any trouble?
  19. I'm also hoping for early September

    GEHA

Less two months till I finish with my 6 months stuff. My biggest worry is with insurance. My BMI is 37.5 with comorbidity of sleep apnea and possibly high blood pressure. My question is, has anyone dealt with GEHA or has anyone had any problems with them. If no problem, once six months was met with all requirements, how long did it take for them to approve? My sixth month will me early August and hope to have surgery early Sept. Thank you for any info that anyone can provide.
  21. Three months gone by so fast...still wished it would go faster. Just around the corner
  22. New at this. When I started this journey I was sure that I wanted it get Lap band. Then I had my EGD where all the staff including nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon talked me into deciding on the sleeve. So here I am, still 4 appointments left of 6. I know it sounds a long time, but so far it seems to go by quick! Still, I am counting down. Looks like ETA for Gastric Sleeve surgery will be September! Good luck to bring everyone deciding on this journey!
