"]One year ago today was my surgery. Starting weight was 285, at 5 foot 2. Now I'm down 115 pounds with 20 pounds til goal. So happy with the changes this has made in my life, heck, I'm a green belt in taekwondo now! Before surgery walking to and from my car was all the "exercise" I got! Not good with attchments, we'll see if this works.
Your pictures look fantastic! Congrats keep up the hard work.

My endoscopy results were not as good as I wanted. I have Barrettes esophagus which are pre cancer cells. I wanted the sleeve today my surgeon said I can't get the sleeve because of Barrettes so now I have to have the bypass. My surgery date is August 18th. I'm a little disappointed.not having the sleeve. I'm so worried about dumping syndrome. I'm if I don't eat fats and sugar I should be alright. Can someone tell how they are doing with the bypass surgery. How long where you out of work?

I went to see Dr. Gandsas today I'm not able to have the gastric sleeve done because I have Barrett's esophgus so I'm getting the gastric bypass done on August 18th. I'm a little disappointed...Dr Gansas seems ok. But I've heard good things about the office and the nurse however I haven't really spoken much to either one of them to make a decision at to how they are. There are a lot of test which I'm grateful for so going into it I know how my health is.

I just attended my first appointment with the nutritionist. My insurance requires 3 month supervised diet and pysch visit, so I'm hoping for a Sept/Oct surgery. I'm excited, but nervous! Good luck to you all.
I wish I had to wait 3months. Six months is a long time...at least for it is.

I am going to him now bit can't seem to find very many people who have had their surgery by Dr. Gandsas. He seems nice and has an impressive background.

Today I got my biopsy back and I do have Barrett's esophagus. I want to get the sleeve done in September but now my surgeon said I may not be able to get the sleeve but instead have a bypass...which I really don't want. The doctor has put me on pantomedzole for two months then have another endoscopy done. Has anyone had this problem?

I have to complete a 6 month physician documented & supervised diet and hope to have an Aug. / Sept. date, as well. I've been going crazy fulfilling all kinds of tests. How about you?
Me too. I have an EKG and psychology test left. I will complete mt test within the next two weeks.

Im one and a half months into the process of getting the sleeve. I'm finding it hard to get my butt moving to go for walks.
I also was a huge ice cream eater which I stopped eating it a while ago. Just yesterday I bought some and ate it then I was so mad at myself. I'm I know I should start out like 10 minutes a day. I guess I just needed to get that off my chest.
