  1. Hi: I am 51 and was banded on 14 September. So far I have lost 24 pounds and over 12 inches. I was worried as well that this procedure may not work. But so far, so good. I too have been over-weight all my life. I am looking forward to a NEW ME. I'm worth it. So, keep positive, keep looking forward, keep telling yourself I'M WORTH IT.

  3. Congratulations! Yes, the journey begins. You are fortunate that you are a fast healer. How do you feel? I had my surgery on Friday 14 Sept by Dr. Colburn. I have lost 20 pounds and around 12 inches. I feel good and notice a big difference in my ability to walk. I still get tired. I start back to work tomorrow. I imagine that I will be quite tired tomorrow night. Keep up the good work.
  4. Hi everyone: I am so excited to be the newest member and look forward to connecting with you. I had my surgery last Friday September 14 by Dr. Colburn in Mississauga. So I am on my 6th day and feeling very good. I am an out-of-province client. I travelled from Saint John, New Brunwick and without a support person to accompany me. I would not suggest going it alone. Between being anxious about flying, the surgery, the recuperation, being alone and then the day travel returning, it was not a pleasant experience. I would highly suggest taking someone accompany you. However, now I am home and handling the daily requirements quite well. I hope to get great pointers from those of you who have started this journey. Any suggestions for the upcoming weeks???
