I've been thinking about WLS secretly for quite a while. Afraid of all the negative and hurtful things people would say. Don't we all want to look and feel better about ourselves? Not to mention getting healthier too!! I finally confided in my fiance yesterday and today he tells me he will pay for it on ONE condition. I have to quit smoking. Well Goodbye Mr Marlboro man cause I'm giving you up and exchanging you for a beautiful wedding dress and a life of healthy living.

I am wondering about Passports, payments, health evaluations pre op, Who do you see after your back in the States? And how do you even go about setting up an appointment or even get accepted for the surgery? Im very curious.

I know you like horses..I do to although I have never owned one but always wanted to. You may think Im crazy (my family and friends think I am) but I LOVE the way a horse smells. I have stopped on the side of the road and got the horses come to me just so I could smell them. To me its the most relaxing and calming smell in the world...wish Scentsy made a horse smell.lol

Have a consultation in Dallas on Monday. Im excited but scared to death. I hear so many good things but the bad experiences I've read about have me doubting. I can think of a million questions, mainly about how it feels inside you...what does it mean when they say it feel 'tight'? Also can anyone give me an estimate on what it cost without insurance?

Thank you for the info...I am also looking into the sleeve. Very apprehensive about this because my friend that had it done looks like a scarecrow now. I am the type that eats whatever whenever, Happy, sad, bored, it doesnt matter. I LIKE food and that has me worried that the lap band might now work.

Thank you wwled, My friend has the sleeve and she loves it. Thought about that also but it seems more serious surgical procedure to me.
