  1. I will admit that I haven't done it in one continual setting until yesterday. I went to the grocery store and we walked a while. I do laps around my house all through the day and night though. I am 7 days post op today. I am going to walk around the block today though. I think it will help.
  2. 5 Days post op. I really only take 1/2 the dosage of pain meds per day. It's usually the middle of the day with my right side just gets really sore. (hiatal hernia repaired also) I sit up most all day and take my laps around the house! The shots are not fun! How long do you have to do it 071? Be glad when that part is over. The gas is getting better, but not totally gone. I have a lovely bubble in my left shoulder. Friday is pizza night in my house, so I spend most of the evening hating everyone! LOL. Not that I am even that hungry, but I wanted to chew SOMETHING! So I got me some crushed ice and went to bed. This is a process!
  3. Hey there! I am 5 days post op and I am not sure if I am getting all my Water, and this Protein is difficult. But it is a process, so we take it day by day. The gas is bad, but we walk! I think I am drinking too fast, but I am working on it. Everyone keep your head up and your liquids down! XXOO!
  4. My surgery was the 31st of March and this as is real! But getting better daily. Getting this Protein shake down is not easy. I can only finish about half in a day. I do pretty good with my liquids though. Walking pretty good. He repaired my hiatal hernia, so I am still a little sore, but off pain meds. I know it is a process and these discussions always help me remember that! Thank you!
  5. Me too! Good luck to you sister! Ease of surgery and swift, uneventful, pain free recovery to you! I will see you on the other side of the game!!!!
  6. I'm Monday too! Best of luck to all of you and thank you to those who have already gone through and calm us jittery nut cases!
  7. I am Monday too! My pre-op was two shakes daily and a high Protein low fat meal. I know it is not nearly as strict as some, but today I was HANGRY! LOL! One day to go! Good luck everybody! See you on the other side!
  8. I'm Monday, the 31st! Best of luck to you all!
  9. Hello all! I have learned so much from this thread. Congrats to all of you who have come through your surgeries. I go in on Monday and I am QUITE ready. I feel a bit guilty for being 'hangry' today when my pre-op diet is not nearly as strict as some, I have two shakes and a meal (protein and veggies). My surgery is scheduled for 1pm with me coming in at 10, but my surgeon said to keep my phone on, because he may call me earlier. Did any of you all have to do heprin (sp) shots at home to prevent blood clots?
  10. Congratulations! I go in on Monday, so this is GREAT for me to hear!
  11. Mine is the 31st. I go for my endoscopy tomorrow! I am super excited!
