  1. I manage with the 30 minute rule. I just sip all day
  2. I was sleeved on 6/24 and have been stuck for the last 5 days. Part of it is my period. And part I think not enough Protein. So today I made sure I got my protein in and counted -- 89 grams! The Water intake through is challenging for me. I think I managed 40 ounces. So that is next goal to maintain the protei level and increase the water High weight 240 Surgery weight 222 Today 214

  4. I made chilaqiiles for dinner Take 1 rotisserie chicken and shred it (leftovers work great). About 1 cup more than enough Take 4 flour tortillas. Toast them in a pan (no oil). Brown hen just a little Rip them apart Place 1 tablespoon oil Ina pan Add ripped tortillas Then add your shredded chicken Then add about a cup of tomatillo salsa (I made my own) Then sauté for a few minutes Add two egas scrambled. I used whites so 4 whites Sauté and stir until eggs are Cooked through Serve Family enjoyed the dinner and I of course took this mixture on my plate and removed tortilla, puréed it with a little more tomatillo salsa. Yummy! I am cooking recipes for the family using ingredients I can eat and just purée my version
  5. Before I had my sleeve I read this blog up and down and sideways. Especially the complication forum. I also read other sites Internet, basically anything I could get my hands on BUT I've not seen someone get a leak "years" later As someone suggested you should discuss complications with your surgeon.

  8. With every surgery there is risk. The risk I was told of leaks was less than 1% The risk if death also less than 1%

  10. Also if you stay at a residence inn/springhill or hilton garden in. They tend to have kitchenettes in their suites you can prepare your own breakfast
  11. Can't you purchase what you need where you are traveling? I travel quite a bit for business but currently on medical. I traveled during pre op diet and: Packed my powdered Protein powder in a Blender Bottle Purchased 8 ounce almond milk at a local grocery store and mixed it up Found a Vitamin shoppe and a GNC local to my trip - purchased Isopure there. They also have all your shakes One of my staff has had this surgery and I had her traveling with me 3 months post. She shipped herself everything to the hotel that she needed in advance.
  12. Been married 21 years and toys are the spice we added quite a ways back. Sometimes they're used sometimes not. At first it was me including them and he is totally into it Really communication is the key. Make sure you're both good with it. And then get the toys you can use together.
  13. Yes am about 10 days out and think folks who are never hungry are blessed. I've been starving at least twice and have to control my intake otherwise I eat too fast and feel horrible.

  15. I was feeling a little nauseous still this morning but hanging in there. took the anitnausea and stuck to cottage cheese for Breakfast Thanks.

  18. Go to the oharmacy. Ask the pharmacy for plan b They sell it behind the counter. Nonprescription It's about $45 here in nj. Not sure where you live It is emergency contraception. Causes no pain, may cause a period but if you do it within 24 hours you should be safe. Then talk to your gyno/pcp
  19. The worst pain I had was when I woke up from surgery. I was immediately medicated and was fine. From there on out it was discomfort and was easily managed by Tylenol with codeine for 3/4 days and after that nothing.
  20. I ate a half a falafel I am totally paying for it. Dumping syndrome and I hope to never repeat that again. Oh Lordy.
  21. Congratulations on a fronts! I am very happy for you. Would recommend you take it one day at a time and know that you will come out on the other end a stronger happier healthier you
  22. Is that the charge or what they actually paid? The two are different and I've found most prescription processors don't actually tell you what they paid on an EOB. Just the charge
  23. When we say purée. Do we mean the consistency of mashed potatoe? Because I've been using my cuisinart and adding liquid to get a non dry consistency
  24. Nothing. Total commando for the 28 hours of hospital stay. Then came home and still have not worn a bra. Want to stick to dresses though as much as possible so I don't have to buy too much right away
