. Typically they want bloodwork/EKG/chest X-ray within a few weeks prior to surgery but I'm sure they will let u know!! Goodluck the next 3.5 months- it will go fast!!

. Oh and the h. Pylori breath test and EKG. I did all but the chest X-ray with my primary doctor. it seems a lot but I had it all done in a 20 minute doc appt.

. Usually the surgeon requires bloodwork, urine test and chest X-ray. Then you have your final pre op visit with doc and dietician. They should have the results so they can discuss at final pre op.

I'm on day 6. The excitement and needing to shrink the liver or you can't have surgery keeps me determined and focused. I have not cheated, days 1-3 stunk, day 4 have energy, tummy grumbles, the runs but not starving!! You can most def do this!!!! Goodluck!!! Oh and I have lost 10 pounds!!

I'm on day 4 and feel great!! More energy, don't feel heavy! I admit my stomach feels empty and it growls at times but I'm not starving! I'm on 4 protein shakes, 1 protein bar and 1 protein soup a day. Tons of water. I do get sleepy earlier at night. And it gives you diahrea

. If you read about it- nicotine invades body tissue. Your stomach pouch being so small can't take the potency of the nicotine so u can def get an ulcer which is super painful!!

I'm on day 3 of pre op diet. I have 4 protein shakes, 1 protein bar and 1 protein based soup. I'm allowed 1 sugar free Popsicle and 1 sugar free jello which I have not had. Surprisingly even though I feel empty and my tummy growls- I'm not starved. I have lost 7 pounds. the weekend is coming up so that may be hard but just need to stay busy. Water with crystal light helps!!

April 8th CW 265 5'0 Goal 125 on day two of preop diet. Not so bad yet...

. The coordinator submitted it on a Thursday and called me with approval on that following Monday. Have you called your insurance to check on it?

. Egd is an endoscopy. They put a camera down your throat and look at your esophagus and stomach. They look for hernias and can biopsy anything they need to- test you for bacteria. It's a crucial part to being sleeved.

. CrissyRing77. I met Tiffany today and your right she is wonderful!!! I start the pre op diet tomm! I have a 2 hr education class on Thursday and my primary doctor appt Friday am for bloodworm and EKG. I have to fit in a chest X-ray too as I meet with Dr Moaazez and dietician on the 2 nd and Tiffany said to have it all done so he has the results. My surgery is on the 8th at 1230. Feeling so overwhelmed! Also have the preop hospital interview and something else with the hospital ? Whew!! Thanks for the offer of asking questions!! I hope you don't mind I will probably have a ton!!

. I think every insurance is diff on who it goes to for approval but I have ready many threads on her of people whom have been approved after calling insurance and knowing the med director was reviewing it!

April 8th!! Just got the approval call!! Start my pre op diet on Wednesday!

. I have a friend here in the states who had this done in Germany. They did not put her to sleep, sprayed a throat spray to help with the gag reflex and that was all.
