  1. I think walking ten minutes slowly 6 to 7 times a day would keep tummy from being so sore. Would it help your tummy to have a supported camisole or something like it under your shirt to help keep tummy in place and not bouncing around while you walk? Even if the walking is just around your house back and forth. You def want the exercise to help alleviate gas or acid that can cause ulcers in your new little pouch, blood blots, and honestly my right dude is very tender but after 30 minutes of walking it feels better. I go back and forth between heating pads and a cool pack at night and it feels good!! One day at a time!!
  2. Yes my doc has me on 2 weeks clear liquids and 2 protein shakes, then 2 weeks full liquids- yogurt, pudding, creamed soup strained. Then on to mushy, mushed soup, fine ground beef, etc. way to soon for meatballs! Feel better!!
  3. . Each day is better. I'm hungry tho. I had 2 oz of chicken broth and I wanted more!! I have Av very sore area that pulls when I sit down and get up to the right of my belly button. Other than that just a sore back sleeping in a lazy boy, I so want to sleep in a bed. I had about 1/4 of a protein shake so far today. Sick of them!!
  4. . Great thanks!! All the other broths have been awful!!thanks for the quick response!!
  5. Wonton soup, chicken noodle- strained ok as a clear liquid week 1 post op?
  6. . How are you doing??
  7. I had surgery Tuesday- had an endoscopy in January and no hernia was found. But Tuesday in surgery the doc found a small one. So there is no guarantee and honestly I wouldn't know the diff of recovering with or without the hernia repair. Recovery is miserable so far- one day at a time.
  8. . I had my surgery Tuesday and have the pain ball. You just strap it over your shoulder and pull it out 5 days post op- I hardly feel my incisions. the tape over the area that's inside you and I don't feel it or any tugging.
  9. . Mine was bloated stillFrom the gas. Now it's in quadrants and starting to come out by burps and the other way. The doc said I would feel fantastic once it's out. Right now just trying to sip- everything tastes terrible!!
  10. . A total killer. I just got released after one night and so ready to go!!
  11. Did the upper Gi/ swallow test. It went well- no leaks. The stuff they make u swallow is Nasty. I threw up after. They brought me broth, jello and crystal light. The broth I could get down but felt every bit of it go in my swollen stomach. Ouch!! I took small sips from a baby spoon. The rest was too sweet so just doing ice chips.
  12. . Not yet. Upper gi scheduled but not sure what time! Hope it goes well so thirsty!
  13. . Goodluck!! Prayers to you!!
  14. . Goodluck!! Able to get up and walk 20 minutes into recovery, no incision pain but the gas is really awful! So walk and keep on them for pain meds!
  15. . Sorry! That was an exaggeration!! I finally got some pain relief and a heating pad is lifesaver.
  16. . Ok so in the midst of pain childbirth - that was an exaggeration. Sorry it's not that bad. But the gas is no joke . I finally got some relief and a heating pad is a miracle for those pesky pains in the back and shoulder.
  17. Surgery was at noon out at 130. I awoke in recovery with my body feeling good BUT the gas pain in my back and chest are another story. Hurts like hell. Not going to lie. Childbirth was easier. Nothing they give me takes the edge off. Just walking. I have walked 4 times today in 15 minute increments. 1 incision on the right is sore. If anyone had any questions let me know.
  18. on my way!! So nervous! Prayers and good vibes please!!!
  19. . Hang in there!! Congrats on a successfulSurgery!!
  20. . Great to hear surgery went well. Sounds like gas pain. I hope it goes away and the nausea as well!! Yeah for u!
  21. . My surgery is tomm and my surgeon uses it. I guess when the medicine is gone the ball deflates and u just pull it out. My dietician had one in and she said it didn't hurt to pull out.
  22. . Tomm as well! Goodluck!
  23. . I am tomm!! In same boat as you worrying about the complications! Just have to leave it in gods hand, prepare for pain/discomfort and focus on getting in your fluids. Goodluck!! Keep in touch!
