I had my hospital pre-op interview yesterday. I found out my surgeon uses a On-Q pain pump. I had never heard of this before. Anyone else know they are using it? I have my pre-op surgeon appointment on Thursday so I will ask questions about whether I'm using this only in the hospital or will I take it home with me too.

. My surgery is tomm and my surgeon uses it. I guess when the medicine is gone the ball deflates and u just pull it out. My dietician had one in and she said it didn't hurt to pull out.

. I had my surgery Tuesday and have the pain ball. You just strap it over your shoulder and pull it out 5 days post op- I hardly feel my incisions. the tape over the area that's inside you and I don't feel it or any tugging.

I had one while I was in the hospital. They took it out before I left the hospital. I woke up withi it after the surgery.
