  3. @@coriek, I am 2 months out from surgery and some days I feel like a complete failure, but if I have a bad day, I just rebound and keep positive. You have definitely come to the right place, u definitely seem focused and this will pass
  4. Initially only my husband knew and a friend who had recently had the surgery, but now I am comfortable with the whole thing so if people ask, I tell them and with a huge smile on my face
  5. @@joy3551 hang in there, I will be a month post op tomorrow and I have literally been at a stall for 3 weeks, so I totally understand your frustration, but I decided to put the scale away and continue to follow your nut and doctors advice. Continue to believe in yourself and you will see results....
  6. Good for you, I love it when the scale moves , much continued success.
  7. Congrats on your progress, my surgery date was 07/28 and I have hit a serious stall, no weight loss in 3 weeks and I am starting to wonder what am I doing wrong. You look amazing, got any good tips on how you are so successful?
  8. Congrats, I know you are super excited....you surgery date will be here before you know it.
  9. @@Jordan861, My situation I similar to yours, I have been at a stall for a week, I am getting my liquids in, I am walking a mile a day and getting my protein in, but no movement on the scale. UGH is how I am feeling right about now
  10. @@nursejenny07, when I read tis post I laughed uncontrollably because I did the same thing with the chunks of potato...Good luck to you
  11. @@IcanMakeit, weight loss is amazing, you'll be in the small sizes before you know it. 70lbs lost in 2 months is a huge accomplishment, I hope that at 2 months I can boast the same stats.
  12. @@Melanieada, I feel the exact same way, no issues at all and I am already at a stall no pounds lost in my 2nd week, ( I was sleeved on 07/28) however I can see that my body is changing but it is a little discouraging wen the scale is not moving. I have since decided to put the scale away and continue to eat right and get my liquids in and I am walking about a mile a day. Good luck to you
  13. @@livvsmum, You look absolutely amazing.....
  14. @@laurenw46, don't be discouraged the weight they you have lost so far is still a great milestone and you should be proud of yourself, keep working out and figure what foods work for you and you will continue to shed those pounds
  15. OMG, I was about to go crazy, so refreshing to know that this is happening to someone else, I was sleeved on 07/28 and I have hit a stall 8 days out, I have not had a BM in 4 days, and the scale has gone up pound and Miss Mary paid me a visit. I hope that all this will blow over soon, I am continuing my evening walks of 1 mile just trying to take it easy, since it's a little over a week. I was seriously getting nervous, but now that I know I am not the only one, I feel a little better.
  16. Congratulations on your progress you look amazing
  17. I was sleeved on 07/28 as well and my incisions itch like crazy too, I just use some anti itch cream and it helps out a lot.
  18. @ , I was sleeved on 7/28 and I have noticed today that I am weaker than before, I swear as soon as I got home from the hospital Miss Mary paid me a visit, I am gong to get a new multivitamin today and hopefully this helps with the weakness. Anyone know of a good multivitamin?
  19. @skylark, so happy for you, take it easy and have a speedy recovery
  20. I just had my surgery on 7/28 but that is also one of my biggest fears, but I have spoken with several people who are well into their journey and one thing that's consistent is that they all experience stalls. Your weight loss so far is amazing and I am sure there is more to come.
  21. I was sleeved on 07/28 and I feel pretty good, definitely getting the liquids in and working on those proteins. I feel amazing and ready to work toward hitting goal. Congrats to all July sleevers
  22. I was sleeved on Monday 7-28, and was released on yesterday, I am actually feeling pretty good been up walking, finally started to relieve a little gas . I will continue to walk, and take naps, but so far so good. Wishing everyone a speedy recovery.
  23. @skylark you should be commended, I know that must have been hard. I am on the last day of my pre-op diet, I did pretty good, but it was hard. Surgery is at 10:30am...I am so excited, I don't think I'll go to sleep tonight
  24. @@Confused Jill, Hi Jill why would they make you wait a year (that's not cool), my insurance company did make me go through 6 months dietary, but the 6 months literally flew by, they also had some other requirements such as losing 5% of my weight, psych evaluation, endoscopy, and a 5 yr history of trying to lose weight. I have never heard of a year, what insurance company are you with, I would go to their website and see what the requirements are for a bariatric procedure.
  25. OMG @@chrrus that is awesome, I hope that my surgery is just as smooth as yours, I know some people experience a lot of pain. I am excited for you, and I am getting more excited with each passing day, I am scheduled for 7-28@ 10:30am....Again congrats
