  1. Thanks for the advice. That's good to know others didn't have a pre op diet. I had thought it was odd not to have one. I know I am going to be sooo tired of liquids come a few days after surgery :-) so I am just going to do low carb. I already am thinking in my head about food funerals I need to have! Lol.

I've been having "food funerals" all month. I've been thinking if I eat a bit of everything, I think, I will want/miss, that it won't be so bad when I "can't" have it. The strange thing that's been happening to be is I've burned out on my favorites. Nurse thinks its a good sign my mind is trying to get ready. Hope she's right!

  2. I'm going to be alone recovery as well, but that's my choice. I have told no one except my two kids , But I prefer to not have people hovering over me Lol. Good luck to us aloners!!

I made that choice also. Only one family member knows, anyone that even "might" be negative I did not tell. I'm guessing I may have to tell my co-worker when I get back to work, since I have to drink every 15 mins. and no solids.

  3. Just got my date for revision, March 27th. My biggest fear is failing again. I'm not telling my family until after the surgery, the one person I told I was considering revision said,"oh, the other worked so well". Which blew all my confidence, so to keep positive, only people that are positive know before surgery. My doctor doesn't have me on Pre-op diet?
