Any February 2014 Sleevers?
I guess I will make an appt with the nutritionist. Some time just opened up for me to exercise. I was my dads caregiver and he passed last month. But I'm depressed and don't want to do anything ????

Looking for a sleeve buddy /mentor I am struggling
I'm stuck and needing a buddy. I lost 60-65 and have gained 5-10. Surgery was March 2014. Frustrated. It took me a long time to realize my snacking is a response to not liking the feeling of a full stomach when having a meal, but I'm getting too many calories. Gotta get serious!!

Surgery date was 3-12-2014
- Weight loss seems to have stalled
I was concerned at my 6 weeks appt that I had not lost more. My dr said I was right on track because I started with a lower BMI than some folks. If that helps:) I know there are many with lower BMI than me, so please don't worry! It will happen.- Protein Isolates
Hi Vegas guitar guy, you can buy the same protein shots at walmart I think cheaper- Who is in March?
Hey today I found powdered peanut butter at walmart. I think it's like 85% less fat than pb and perfect for shakes ☺️- Who is in March?
Hi KB, I was wondering about 300-400 calories because with 3 shakes I'm already up to 660 calories? Are you counting besides the shakes? I'm having trouble getting in my protein without them- looking for support in las vegas, nevada
I ate a whole egg today!- looking for support in las vegas, nevada
Thanks for replying all! I know what you mean about the closet. I'm down about 15 lbs and wanting to get rid of clothes already! I always wore my clothes too big anyway so some things are already ridiculous. I felt great today!- 9 days...
My one psychiatric appointment was only to clear me for surgery, to make sure I was sane I guess! I couldn't see the surgeon until I had that appointment. I don't remember a lot of counseling though. I think that not chewing was the hardest thing for the first 2 weeks. My teeth needed to bite into something! You'll get past that. My hardest thing has been fast food. I have bought 3 meals and thrown them all out just to go through the drive through. Now that's just crazy lol!- looking for support in las vegas, nevada
Hello! I'm from Las Vegas. I had surgery on mar 12, so 2 wks today. I had a little trouble on day 9 because I tried to do too much too soon. How are you doing with meals everyone?- Who is in March?
Please add me to the list. I had surgery march 12. Had a few down days after hurting myself doing too much. I just felt so good on the 8th day! Believe them when they say no lifting, no bending, and no twisting. The docs really mean it when they say walking only- 9th day-i did too much!
I felt so good today, had energy, felt positive and got busy! I've lost 11 lbs since surgery and I could bend over better. Tonight I'm having lower abdominal pain like I've strained a muscle. I'm sad thinking I didn't even take a nap today. What was I thinking?- Surgery Tomorrow
I'm doing pretty good! I had some pain, left side back that messed with my mind through day 7. Had my post op and doc said to try Advil, it worked! I don't seem to have that pain anymore. It also felt like a throb but I'm ok now. I must have bought 10 different items to flavor water but can't stand the taste of any of them. The one I love I bought at the docs office and it has 15 gms protein so that helps. It's kind if fruity and creamy.- Sharp pain at wound site - 3 weeks post
I don't know, maybe this is so off base but I thought I read on here somewhere about tight stitches and the sufferers had to wait 5 weeks for the stitches to pop? I'll try to find the thread for you.- Losing it!
Haha there was a lot of food in that movie!- Chike
Does anyone know if it's sold locally? I'm in las vegas.- March 3rd
Nope it was not the Popsicles, I had thrush which I guess is pretty common after surgery and antibiotics ????- How do you know when to stop?
What about soaked bread like in French onion soup?- Losing it!
I'm 1 week out and drooling over Flint's food bar in Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2. My grandson can't figure out why I'm so interested!!!- I have Fallen of the wagon
Well I'm only 7 days out so I don't really know anything yet!, but I know I'll use the drive through at times later. I think it's the choices you make that will help or hinder. So far in my stage I have found Arby's aus jus soup, which on day 5 made me feel alive again and only cost 32 cents! I'm dreaming about pintos and cheese, and KFC mashed potatoes. Also I think it helps that I have no problem throwing out food I just bought!. I know it's stupid but sometimes one bite gets you past the head hunger, and then you realize it's not that good anyway, at least that's what I did before surgery. That said I think my biggest dreams are all the fun recipes I've heard about here that I can try. The first one I'm going to try is the ricotta bake! Now, back to my chemically tasting water ????- Eating and Drinking
Hi all, so I was thinking, wouldn't the no drink rule help those who haven't had surgery? It seems to me that with all the water I drank with meals before surgery, it's no wonder I rarely felt full! Can anyone even believe how much we could eat? How big portions were? I have to admit I dream of a Big Mac (of all things!) when I can finally eat solids, but I know it will be a tiny slice out of the middle lol- Diabetes meds
Hi, so I'm just 5 days post op, still having glucose levels around 200 without 2 of my meds. Still taking metformin. Will it stay up until I lose a certain amount of weight? They said the trauma of surgery could cause it but I'm just afraid it's my body. - Weight loss seems to have stalled
