Hey I'm scheduled for may 8th Tijuana with Dr Garcia. I'd love to share my fears and expectations. Going alone Happy to share in those fears with ya! Lol!

Congrats Emarie! I too am trying to prepare ahead of time by adjusting eating habits. I am completely off of soda, thanks to It being Easter season and me giving up sodas for lent. I figure why torture myself and start them up again after Easter only to have to give them up again a few weeks later. I've been making a point of eating breakfast daily and having a snack of V8 and low fat snack crackers (single serving pack) in the afternoon so that I won't over eat at supper. I'm only having single portions, no seconds. And I've really been working on increasing my water intake... Up to between 40 and 60oz a day. I plan on starting my pre-op diet a month out instead of the required two weeks although I will modify it and add more fruits and veggies than I will be allowed 2 weeks pre-op. I plan on starting a daily walk next week. And I need to get started on my vitamins as well! I'm so excited for my new life to begin and so ready to have my surgery! I'm terribly nervous and somewhat scared but all in all, I think I'm ready! Keep us posted with your date! Mine is 5/24/14 in Tijuana, Mexico.

I love your post!!! I am anxiously awaiting my re-birthday as I like to call it. I am scheduled to be sleeved on 05/24 and can't wait to experience some milestones of my very own! Thanks for being an inspiration to this newbie!!

Hi... If you apply for your passport now it only takes about 6 weeks regular and 3 weeks if you expedite. Of course it does cost more to expedite.

Grief counseling!...lol! But no, not really... I have been trying to increase my water and practice my chewing and sipping... It's hard especially when I'm in a hurry... Which is most days

Mine is 2 weeks also... A protein shake for breakfast and lunch and a salad with lean protein, chicken, fish for supper. A bit stricter than yours sounds like. Wanna trade!?!...lol

I'm scheduled for May 24th in Mexico. So excited and so nervous!!

My BCBS flat out denied coverage for me to have any type of bariatric surgery so, I am headed to Mexico and will pay with my flight and all about $5000 out of pocket.... Amazingly, this is just $2000 more than my deductible and it's all inclusive and best of all, no hoops to jump through. Just something to consider.
