  1. I had surgery on 4/14/14. My day of surgery weight was 277.0 and today I am 243.4! That is a 33.6 weight loss. I have not hit any stalls at all and have not gained at all so I am thankful for my lost, even if I think it is slow. I am just now starting to work out. I am starting with Zumba. I really enjoyed it before surgery. My last 2 periods have been natural and a even 7 days! I even started on the day I was suppose too this month. That has never happened in my entire life! My goal weight right now is 225# so my BMI will be below 40. I can't wait to start back on my fertility treatments! I am so ready to be pregnant again! I have struggled with years of fertility with each of my children and have this time since December. I want a little boy so badly! Praying for each of you, as I know PCOS has many issues. God bless!!

  2. I have PCOS and I am a little over a month out. I have lost 27#'s as of today! I think it is a little slow but I am very grateful to be 250#'s. I haven't seen it in a long time! My ovaries are still not working right, still have missed or irregular periods, and still having facial hair. I do not have any other illnesses though. I just can't wait to be able to start back on my fertility drugs!

  3. I am half way into week 4, I have lost a total of 22.2 pounds in this time. I am happy with the loss. Sometimes I wish it was faster but I know I didn't get this way over night so I do not expect to lose it all over night. I have had no problems since surgery! I am very happy with that. No vomiting, no reflux, nothing! I can only hold about 3 oz at my 3 meal times and I'm never hungry to snack. I haven't had a snack since surgery. I am still having a hard time to get my 64 oz of Water in but my doctor said to just keeping trying to increase it. I have done awesome at work! I went back after only 2 weeks and have had no problems there. I spoke with my fertility doctor on Thursday to give him a update and see what his goal was for me to reach before starting back to conceive. He wants me to lose 35 more pounds so that my body with stablize somewhat and to get my BMI below 40. I am excited about this also! I know many people can't wait to see their bodies after such a surgery a year down the road, but my main reason for having the surgery was to conceive our son, hopefully! We will take it slow and follow the speacialist advice though! God Bless!!

  4. I have to say though I am still not able to get all 64 oz of Water in each day. I am lucky to get 24oz. I don't feel dehydrated and urinating well, so I haven't worried to much on it. Just trying to increase it everyday. One thing I'm worried about is getting all my Protein in. They said 60 g a day but I can't figure it out. I can only eat 4 oz, 3 times a day. They won't me to stop Protein Shakes in place of a meal now that I am on pureed/mechanical soft foods. I wasn't getting much with them at only 4 oz but it was better than nothing. Any ideas?

  5. I am two weeks post op today and just weighed for the week. I lost 5 pounds this week. It's not the 10.2 pounds I lost in week one but I will take it. I am super excited because I went back to work today and when I put my nurse uniform on this morning and felt and saw how much room I have in the butt and thighs of my pants.......all smiles here! :D

  6. I went to my one week post op visit today. I have lost 10.2 pounds!!!! My incisions look great, no problems, and I feel great today! Looking forward to Monday when I can start blended foods! All in all, I really feel great about my decision! I go back to work on Monday and really hope I adjust well to that environment. It should be ok, most of the ladies I work with are always on diets and the provider I work with has a background in being a personal trainer and a dietician. Hoping if I have a stumble or get stuck I can turn to her on a daily basis. Wishing everyone luck on their journey and may God continue to bless us all. :D

  7. I try not to take pain meds because I do not want to become constipated. I have taken it before bed when I think I over did it. It has given me extremely bad awful dreams though. I have had a difficult time sleeping. I wake all through the night. I have felt better today and moved around a lot more. I do not have much energy though. I expected that. Thank you to everyone for your comments.

  8. I was sleeved on Monday 4/14/14 and had a horrible 1st night due to major back pain. I am still real sore today but it is a lot better. I am having a difficult time getting more than 24 oz of Water a day. It takes me 1 hour to eat a meal of 4 oz. Every sip I take feels almost painful. Any idea how long this lasts? I am so ready to just feel comfortable! I have two episodes where I have regretted this decision. I am so ready to just be comfortable! I'm not missing food or having "head hunger", I just can't stand this pressure/pain I feel with every sip! Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated!

  9. I had surgery on Monday and I feel so so! I do have one incision that hurts like the dickens and it is really sore to get up and down. I have only been able to get about 24 oz of Water in a day. I constantly feel like it stays in my chest. It is uncomfortable so I don't like to do it. Any idea when this stops?

  10. Almost there! I will be on the other side in the morning! I have to be at the hospital at 7 a.m. to register and start pre op. I will have surgery around 8:30 a.m. tomorrow. I am so excited! I have my wonderful husband at my side and I know he will be praying for me the whole time and he will be a great help with my recovery. I'm so blessed to have him with me! Just finished dropping my babies off at my sister's house for the next three days. I know they will have fun while I am at the hospital. I had two great church services today and was prayed over and feel awesome about my surgery and recovery! Feeling Blessed! :)

  11. Today is Day 3 of my liquid diet and I have to say that I am doing AWESOME! Yesterday wasn't bad at all and I was at my mother in laws most of the day with her cooking a great southern meal. Smelled great but I did not sample one bite! Then for supper my lovely husband had went fishing with the kids and had a fish fry, with fried catfish, hushpuppies, French fries, and his homemade cole slaw (which is so awesome)! I actually wasn't tempted by it. I just ate my cream Soup he made me. I'm so lucky I have a great cook for a husband. Anyway.....wishing good luck and encouragement to all my April 14th sleevers!!!

  12. I have to do clears this coming up weekend and bought sf popsicles, crystal light, a variety of cubes to make broth but reading the label yesterday on day one of my liquid diet, it showed 800 mg of sodium! :o I can only do one cup with that much sodium! If I do more than I will retain every bit of liquid I take in. I will be going back to the store today or tomorrow to see if they have a low/no sodium variety. I want something hot at times and that was the only thing I didn't have to limit, but with that amount of sodium I will have to limit to once a day. :(

  13. You have this girl!!! Great idea above about the sugar free gum! Chew chew but don't eat. I will have to remember that when I'm further into my liquid diet. Today is day 2!! I really wanted a bite of dry toast this morning....my 4 year old wanted a piece with the edges cut off. I almost popped the edges of that toast in my mouth without thinking! I didn't though, I caught myself and said no and grabbed my Protein Shake out of the fridge. I am determined!!
