Guess I am going to have to talk to the doc, just not happy with my progress, was suppose to go back yesterday but they called and changed my appt. go back next Wed instead which is 4 weeks instead of the 3 weeks that I wanted. Go Figure.

Wow. Told my dr I wanted to come every 3 weeks and I thought he was going to say no nut he did agree do you know how full you are? Ask you dr which band you have, call them.

Wow how often do you get your fills? You just had surgery and 2 fills already I only go back once a month and get a fill. Couple times I did not get one on account of throwing up from eating to fast.

Yes he does have me drink water and I never have any problems. How do I find the band size?

When I go to get a fill, the Dr has me lay down, he inserts the needled then has me sit up, he then takes injects the fill until it starts pushing liquid back inti syringe. It's been 9 months and I only have 3.6cc. I don't feel like there is much restriction, haven't lost weight in couple months now. Getting pretty frustrated about this.

Try taking some real deep breaths, that seems to help me some.

On my last fill I didn't feel any resistance and I sure did bleed a lot. The front of my shirt we soaked with blood actually had to stand three and wash my top I had on good thing it was hot outside so it did dry quickly

Went to Dr yesterday and got a fill, 4cc. Didn't get one last month and gained a couple pounds, yucky! Lot of bleeding with this fill, got my shirt all bloody. Don't know what happened to bleed like that

I have never ever had a UTI infection in my life. Then had lap band surgery on the in Feb of this year, I have had 3 UTI infections since then, When it first happened I didn't know what was going on, now I am so over it, anyone have any suggestions on what is going on and how to keep from getting this?

I go back once a month to see if I need a fill or not I do this for a year. Surgery was in Feb. I am just happy to be losing and don't really want to lose fast Would like to do it slowly to try and get my skin back in shape.

I went to the Dr on the 16th for my first fill. Had 1cc in the band and he added another 1.2cc. Doing ok with it, can't really tell a difference. He does want me on a liquid diet for a week though, yuck!!!! Clear liquid for 2 days which is over with then a full liquid diet for 5 more days. Have only lost 17lbs since Feb 21st. The fill hurt more than what I thought it would be, but since I still have sores on my tummy where the needle had to go that could be the reason why.

went back to see the doc today. About 2 1/2 weeks after surgery. Said I was doing good, have lost around 14lbs. I go back to see him in 4 weeks for my first fill. verna2197

Oh so true about the bowel movements and I am doing better. I can tell my stomach is finally getting rid of the gas!

Yes that is exactly what I am going to do. I have the band and will use it but I can't feel deprived or like I am on a diet. Thank you so much for responding.

oh wow I had my surgery a week ago had to be on a liquid diet for a week before, told my dh that for my last meal Red Lobster here we come, I had Lobster, Crab Legs, Shrimp and more Shrimp, stuffed mushrooms and biscuits. Of course we went for lunch and brought lots of it home for dinner. It was awesome!!!!

Hi all, I am in my 2nd week of the Bariatric Full liquid Diet, Stage II and I just don't know what to do. I can't stand the Protein drinks or the Protein powder. I feel so tired and sluggish all the time. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I had the Lap Band my sister had the Gastric Bypass, I did not want that. She is throwing up all the time, on account of nothing agrees with her stomach. She had this surgery about 6 years ago and I just didn't want to go thru everything that she did.
