Had my lapband in 2014 and since last Dec 2018 I have thrown up twice, but there was something weird in it. Both times there was a couple squares in it about the size of a piece of chicklet gum. But thr outer edge of it was a clear color and it was gummy looking. Here is apicture of what I am talking about and was wondering if anyone else has had this? This really has me puzzled.

Well I have moved away from the dr who put this in and found another dr who does not give a crap. He wont listen to me about anything. Have been trying to find another one.

Why oh why can't I sleep in my bed. I am having to sleep in the recliner every night, if I go to my bed about an hour after laying down I start coughing real bad then throwing up. So tired of all of this and on top of that had a fill and not even losing anything.

I just dont know about this lapband had surgery Feb 2014 got down to around 180. Trouble started, so much flem, had to go to the dr and he had to take some out of band, helped for awhile, then had to go and get more taken out, he almost took out everything he put in. Gained almost all the weight back, went back to the dr and had him put some in, well now all I do is cough up flem and even during my sleep I start throwing up flem. I am so so tired of all the coughing and flem and cant even sleep on account of throwing up in my sleep. Not losing any weight even though I throw up all the time. On top of that we have moved and am trying to find a Dr closer to me and not haveing any luck with that. Thinking seriously of just having it taken out.

I am so tired of this coughing. I first got pneumonia, got that almost cleared up and then got chronic bronchitis, well as far as I know that is gone, now seems like all I do is cough or throw up. I have been sound asleep and start couging in my sleep, then the next thing I know I have a mouth full of something. Really scary cause I am asleep when this happens. Not sure how much I have in me right now, had went to the dr awhile back and he took out quite a bit, well now he has been putting it back and the coughing is getting worse. Cant sleep on account of this dont each much when I do I feel like everything is just setting there on top of band. He sent me for a swallow test and everything came back great but I just dont feel like everything is, not with all this coughing.

Hi I went to the Dr and he took out 4/10 of fluid which really helped me alot but then I started gaining weight. So I just went back to the Dr and he put back in 2/10 of fluid and so far good Now just to get this weight back off. My only problem I am having now is we have moved and am looking for a Dr in the Knoxville, Oak Ridge, or Powell vicinity. Anyone know of one? Going to see the Dr I have now is about a 6 hour drive round trip

We have moved I am now 3 hrs away from my Dr. Trying to find one in the Knoxviie area. Anyone know of one please

I keep having to go back and have some taken out. I get sick theb alot of flem so he takes some out.

I dont know if its all in my head or what but has anyone else gotten realy sick after their lapband surgery. Seems like every time I turn around I have either Acute Bronchittis or Pneumonia and its getting real old real quick.

I haven't had a fill since December of 2014 and now I am getting lots and lots of flem and throwing up. I am even throwing up in my sleep. Getting worried here. Not to long after I eat I have to go running to the bathroom. Mostly its just flem that comes up but lots of times I am throwing up food too. I am belching alot too. I don't eat that much, I keep it to small meals, my saucer is my dinner plate. I try to eat good and healthy but not always. I go back to the Dr on the 6th of July and am thinking of asking him to take some liquid out of the band to see if this helps. This even happens drinking Water or tea.

ok finally got in to the Dr, he was away National Guard. Called the office crying trying to get in to see him but they told me was gone for the Army I begged them to get me in with someone else who could help me, office staff told me that no one covers my Drs patients while he was gone. I was so darn miserable. So I got in there yesterday and told him what was going on, he asked me why I waited so long to come and see him. I then explained about me calling and what the front desk told me. He was so mad, he said that was not true that any of the Drs in his office could have helped me. I feel so sorry for the front office there cause he was getting geared up for a big chew out. Anyway took out 1cc of liquid and its like instant relief. I can now eat, drink and no throwing up. Asked him what happened, since my last fill was in Dec 2014 and this is July 2015. He said more than likely I had eaten something that must have inflamed my stomach and then it swelled up and that made my band tighter. I don't care anymore, all I care about is now I am no longer throwing up, no flem and I can eat and drink. I go back in a month and if all the symptoms are gone this I can get more cc if not then I will have to go and get a swallow test done? Not sure what that is but it don't sound good. I know that it scares when it happens. Sound asleep and start getting sick while I am asleep is not a good thing. I have been trying to sleep propped up. I have been on the couch cause I don't want to keep DH awake. Thank you for your info.

I am having a lot of phlegm, I had sinus problems and the dr put me on meds, haven't really been able to take them very well. I can't sleep cause of all the phlegm, have noticed a few times when I am asleep I will start coughing and then it comes up, this will wake me up. Then there are nights that is all I do, just cough up phlegm all night long. I am not a big eater right now, but I might have some of the cheddar gold fish as I am watching tv at night. This is driving me nuts.

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I am so frustrated, had surgery in Feb and the last few times I have been to the doc haven't lost a thing, If I remember right I only have around 3.5cc in my band. When I go to get a fill I lay down he puts the needle in then has me sit up, when he goes to put in more liquid, when he gets to around 3.5cc it starts pushing back. He then tells me the band won't take anymore. I really thought by now I would have lost more than I have, around 30lbs. Anyway I go to the doc tomorrow for my last fill of the year. Am going to ask him to let me stay laying down while he puts the liquid in and hopefully I will end up with more. I feel as though I can eat almost anything except bread, can't do that. I do eat smaller portions but on some things I can sit there and eat quite a bit of it. He does ask me if I have been throwing up and I am honest and tell him yes but only if I eat bread. So he doesn't recommend a fill then. So anyway its been 10 months and I do feel like I should have more than 3.5cc I also feel like I have gained weight this time. Wish me luck! Verna

just wanted everyone to know that I have lost 7 lbs this month. I am so glad I had him lay me down and keep me down when he did the injection the last time I went. I feel so much better now that I am losing again. Thank you everyone for telling me how yours was done.

Yes I am trying to eat slower and smaller bites. Thank you everyone for all the info.

I have noticed that I have an awfully lot of flem in me. When I get sick that is what it mostly is. Sometimes when i burp flew comes up then too. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this problem.

yes I am going to have to do something went out to eat twice with some friends and both times ended up being sick on account of the flem. Yucky!!!!!!

hmmm no I haven't been sick, I have had this flem ever since my surgery last Feb. I don't like it, am going to have to talk to a dr about it and see if there is something they can do about it. Don't really think the band is to tight, its only 4cc in a 10cc band.

I have lost 4 lbs so far since my last visit when he put more cc in.

Question I love pulled pork but hate BBQ sauce. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I can use?

Well went to the doc and I had him redo my fill I now have 4cc in me and I do believe I can tell it too. I laid down with a pillow under the small of my back and he was actually able to put in more liquid. Amen So here is to hopefully me losing more weight. I had actually gained 2 pounds.
