1. 4 months ago yesterday I was sleeved and here's a little update from last month. HW 197 SW 186 CW 137. I am 5"2 and I have busted my tail to make this sleeve work for me and not let it work me!!!! Hope this brings inspiration that U Can do anything you set your mind to and the rest will follow!! Thank you for the veterans before me that showed me that this is worth all of the risks and that the sleeve can be an amazing tool!!!!

Help me what is your diet like what r u doing on your journey? Help

  2. Amandasaouma - I am in the same boat. I am almost 4 weeks out and have only lost .5!lbs in 2 weeks. It's really frustrating, I know! Many tell me that our body is going through a lot right now and sometimes this happens. Keep at it and it will turn around. Hang in there!

i was thinking about getting some diet pills to help with. My weight loss what do y'all think

  3. i have two picky kids and a picky husband that also has a wheat and corn (and god knows what else) allergy. (try cooking a meal everyone will and can eat... i dare you! i have exactly two recipes that fit the bill)

i homeschool my kids (which means i am home with them all day every day with almost no breaks).

i plan my food separately than their food most of the time. i eat baked oatmeal in the morning, have hard boiled eggs, yogurt, veggies and hummus and almonds for Snacks, left overs for lunch and Protein and veggies for dinner... usually meatballs, sausage or chicken. very simple. easy to plan. plan all your food choices out in advance.

i go to yoga 2-3 times a week. swim once a week with my kids, walk once with a friend and go to a dance class with another friend. i plan ahead when this will happen.

if you do not put your needs first, no one will do it for you. i had this surgery for myself. because 10 years of putting my husband and kids first left me fat, sick and miserable. no one is going to rescue me, fix me, make me fit, make me happy or put me first. its all on me!

plan your meals, learn to cook, get yourself to the gym or just go outside and run around with your kids. make yourself a priority. learn to put yourself first. you only get this one chance, dont waste it waiting for something magical to happen. it already did. you get a second chance at life, but only if you take care of it.

Yes I like that I'm trying so hard to make my sleeve work for me.. I will thinking to start myself on diet pills for a month or so to increase my weight loss what do u think ?

  4.
My stomach didn't like pills of any kind for the first 3 months, so I did liquid, Gummy, or crunched up tablets. I was a bit more sensitive than the norm in most ways until I was fully recovered at the 6 month mark. Now I can take my supplements in pill or capsule form, no problem. Although, when taking a handful of my herbal supplements, even 3 years later, I have to do it over the course of 30 minutes to an hour, just because of the large amount of Water it takes to get 10-20 caps down.

How about diet pills,I fell that I'm not losing fast enough and was thinking about taking diet pills

  5.
I'm right there with Jamilyne. I also have two kids, work full time and need to cook 2 meals for dinner. I make my meals very simple. I either cook ahead of time on the weekend enough that will last me throughout the week or I will make turkey roll-ups (turkey lunch meat, reduced fat cheese, rolled up in lettace, with Dijon Mustard and Light Mayo), about once a week I will pop in a weight watchers meal, or I will make an omelet. Frozen personal sized serving veggies are the greatest thing.

I cook ahead and do things like baked chicken breasts covered with onions, mushrooms and garlic (baked in a foil pack on the same pan as the chicken). I will reserve some of the chicken chop it up and add it to bagged salad and some hard boiled eggs toppped with homeade ranch dressing (super simple and much better than store bought) 1 cup Okio's non-fat greet plain yogurt, 1/2 c light mayo, 4 springs of fresh dill, 2 cloves chopped garlic, salt and pepper, splash of milk, combine in a food chopper. This will keep for several weeks in a mason jar and it's like 28 cal for 2 Tlbs if not less. Or reserve some to make chicken salad.

Ground Turkey or chicken tacos are also super simple and I'm almost positive your kiddos won't be able to tell the difference.

There are several things you can do in a pinch, or when you're having one of those exhausting days you just have to always plan ahead.

Wishing you all the best!

ground turkey tacos do u use the shell or eat it plain

  6. Start doing some work outs at home video wii fit I do those and I make my own stuff up.. I cook to meals one meal for my Fam and a very small meal for me my meals last 2 to 3 days I drink a lot of Protein Shakes well 2 a day equals 60 grams of protein.. He needs to have your back your journey is not a game!!! This is your life!!!!

  7. I was a self pay. So my first visit was in like the end of january and i got sleeved march 14th. Recovery was very quick i only have some muscle pain on my left side and friday i can start the soft foods stage. Ive already lost 19 pounds! :)

  8. I began my journey at 245lbs Oct. 31st.
Dec. 23(surgery date) I was 226lbs.
When i weighed last night and this morning I was 200.8lbs.

I just started exercising today (45 mins on treadmill) so i may lose faster. I like the rate I'm losing right now though because it's giving me time to adjust to my new body. If i started losing 5 - 10lbs a week, people would get suspicious of my surgery (yeah i'm in the wls closet) and it would be jarring for me.

I don't eat Pasta, greasy foods, hardly any fast food, and i almost never touch bread because even in small doses they hurt my chest and give me. That God awful stuck sensation.

me to I didn't tell anyone!!! I would like to no what r I eating I'm trying. To so 5 lbs a week only doing 2 lbs a week very concerned about that!????

  9. Dec 30th was my sleeve day Highest weight 249 lbs Day of surgery 222 lbs Today 197 lbs!! So I've lost 25 lbs since surgery six weeks ago. I'm pretty happy with that. I was stalled for two weeks even. It took me six months to lose that pre-op lol

I'm happy with the 65 pounds I'm just nervous I'm falling into bad habits bc my sleeve can handle so much more!!! Mentally it sucks to not be able to eat anything for 2 months and then you wake up and ur able to eat half a turkey and egg white wrap!!! I guess I just have to stay positive a lot has happened to me these last fee weeks and I'm just feeling down n out

what happen for u to be able to eat more do u think your pouch stretch out? What r u eating because this is so hard for me!
