  1. I'm in anchorage alaska. Providence is considered the best here so I was shocked at the treatment. The second day was so much better tho. Maybe it was because the first day I had men assigned to me?
  2. Thank you! Boy was that humiliating
  3. Wow 4 days is nice. Tomorrow will be my 4th day so hopefully soon. The pain meds are keeping me from crying but I definetly notice the moment it wears off. Im still waking up at night as soon as it does. Last night was the worst cause I was back home and I couldn't get the pillows to work with me. I guess no pain no gain (or loss lol)

  5. Oh I can't wait for that day! I can handle the pain if I can see an end in site soon. Thanks

  7. Luckily I got some good nurses the next day. They were attentive and very supportive.
  8. So for those of you who had alot of pain right from the beginning (and I'm not talking gas pains, but the muscular and shooting type pain) how long did it take for that to go away? I'm on day 3 and still feel like I've done a million sit ups and someone is repeatedly stabing my abdomen.
  9. If it makes you feel better i couldn't walk the first day. I was seeing double from the pain meds and in so much pain i just went to sleep. Second day I only got 3 walks in and it wasn't far, I felt like such a faliure. I've also noticed burping after taking a sip helps the gas pains. As for bms, I've had liquid diarrhea since yesterday. Which is odd cause I'm not taking in enough for it. I think my system is cleaning itself out of what was left in it. How much are you all able to drink? I'm so afraid I'll get dehydrated cause I havnt been able to get more than 8 oz of liquids a day.
  10. I was very unprepared for this pain. I was under the impression it wouldn't be as bad as the c-section I had but that's sooo untrue. At 12 days out is your pain better?
  11. I cried after my first walk. I'm NOT a Cryer but the pain was intense and every time I breathed it got worse, which I think made me panic. How are you all eating? I was cleared for purees but I can't eat more than full liquids.
  12. I had it the same day. I'm home now and wow do I hurt! Are u home yet?
  13. My dr never said anything about a straw and the nurses gave me one with my water so I figured that meant it was ok to use.
  14. Drink a lot of chicken broth. The salt will make you bloat and hold water
  15. Aww thank you!!! It had me in such a tizzy. I've always been sensitive about my age because I've been overweight all my life so people have assumed I was older. It's not a fun feeling and it was the last thing I needed when feeling so bad. But thank u for that, I appreciate it.
  16. Oh no! I'm so sorry. I got some of the gas pains when I was allowed liquids but I learned if I burp after every sip it went away fast. How's your walking doing? Mine isn't the best. My first time ended up in tears (and I HATE crying so that just says how bad it was). Second and third time were better. Gonna do more soon as my hubby gets back. He's bringing my son so I wanna show him off
  17. Ah yes, a million sit ups is a good description while not moving but when I cough, walk or reposition it feels like someone James a baseball bat in my tummy. How is your o2 doing? I keep holding my breath cause of the pain and it ends up plummeting to 80's.
  18. Omg what a jerk!! Did he know what kind of surgery you had done? His vomment leads me to think he fired u because of the surgery. Did you have fmla, Im not sure but I don't think they can lay you off.
  19. I had a really bad head cold all last week. I was so scared my surgery would get canceled but luckily it cleared up a few days bore surgery yesterday. I hope things work out for you!
  20. Wow, you look amazing. I hope to get to the same size. How often and long did u work out?

  24. Thanks, I have an awesome nurse now who makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Unfortunately I will get one of the bad nurses again tonight. I'm hoping to sleep through the majority of it. On the bright side I go home tomorrow!! Yay
