  1. Second attempt at post today :/

So, I did it. I cut all my hair off. I do believe almost 12 inches. I also splurged and bought 100 worth of a hair system by aveida for thinning hair. My hair seems thicker and the thinning has slowed. Not sure if it's because the weight of my hair is gone. Only time will tell.

I went through my closet and had a mini breakdown when I realized a shrank out of some of my favorites without realizing it. I can't afford to replace a whole closet of clothes at this time. It was nice to realize though that the cute cheap clothing stores that cater to the tiny includes myself now. Yay. Also, my local goodwill has high end pants for five and seven dollars. Another yay. No more tears.

Speaking of tears. My period seems to be like clockwork since starting birthcontrol. Does this mean I'm more fertile? It's never worked like that before. I'm not ready for all that.

    I'm now 194

    Highest 305

    Surgery day 271

    I've lost a small person!!

Still struggling with taking Vitamins. I bought a bunch of liquid Wellesse from eBay for cheap. I pray I can hold them down. This sliming crap is for the birds too. I can only do bites the size of my thumb nail and about a minute a part. I miss eating normal bites. :/. It's all worth it though.

    Happy hump day everyone! Huggers!

  2. I'm on a stall. Still 205 and hanging. Been working with my trainer four times a week starting this week. I already see a huge difference in the last three weeks in my skin but still not where I want it to be strengthwise but hey I'm a work in progress!

So, I'm really happy I started dating. Since meeting Saturday me and "the man" haven't spent but one day apart. I am totally smitten. I still haven't told him about surgery. He has made lil comments about how I don't eat much. He hasn't quized me. I think it may come up tonight. I'm sooo dang nervous. He is on my Facebook and said how great I look now compared to my old picks. I don't know why it's such a big issue for me. If be okay telling him if I had a kidney, ovary, or gull bladder removed. Why is it such a big issue that I had the majority of my stomach removed? It's awesome though that we both love sushi. He orders like three different things and I eat a piece if two of each and he kills the rest. Teamwork. Lol.

I'm having a hard time recognizing myself in the mirror lately. I can't believe how thin I've gotten. I'm getting upset having to keep buying new clothes. As a person who doesn't like shopping I feel like I'm doing it constantly. Thinking about finding some stuff I like and buying it in the next three sizes down.

    How is life everyone?

I know I sound negative but life is actually really amazing. I feel so blessed. I'm ok with stalls, I'll tell the man tonight and hey it's my insides that matter, and I guess I'll find someone who loves to shop and pay them to do it for me. Hahaha

  3. Yep. Hairloss has started here too. I'm afraid to brush it at all. I only wash it every three days to avoid the shower loss which always seems like more.

So......I have been dating like crazy. Three to four a week at times. I FINALLY MET SOMEONE! :) but.....I haven't told them about surgery :/. It's still really premature but I'm afraid to tell this guy who seriously loves to eat all the time that eating is no longer my favorite thing to do. Sigh. This is the first time I have any fear about sharing my transformation story.

  8. At the end of last month I flew to orlando and I was able to fly in the middle seat (I got my tickets too late) and I had no issues with the seat belt buckling and I could lay the tray table completely down without it hitting my stomach! I've been in a stall for a month : ( and my legs have been retaining Water. I used to take Water pills but the dr says I'm not allowed. I actually lost 5 ounces on the vacation. On a usual vacation I gain 10lbs! But once I came back I gained a pound and a half! I don't know what's going on with my body.

    .

Just remember your body has no clue what's going on just like you. It's in a constant state of shock. When I weigh everyday the scale is all over the plAce. I only weigh on check in day now. Focus on NSVs for now. It will happen sweets. ;) just keep making healthy choices. I have banned myself from elevators this week. Next week I'm going to park the furthest from the doors to places. Let's hope I don't die of heat stroke. Lol. Hugs!

  12. Sorry for being late on my 11 week check-in, I was in Baltimore for the holiday weekend. 1) Height / weight starting our wls programs: 5'4" 289lbs 2) Weight day of surgery: 281 3) 11 week post op weight pounds lost/gained: 249, lost 5lbs! 40lbs total 4) Goal weight: 140 5) Your biggest success this week: I flew in the plane and for the first time the seatbelt fit comfortably and I was able to pull the strap a good 6" to tighten it. My hips didnt overlap to other seats and I was very comfy sitting in the middle seat as well! I wanted to cry cause that was such a major accomplishment to me cause I travel alot and it felt so good fitting in that seat finally! I am also another size smaller for my tops, Im a 1X now...I was a 3X before surgery. I have accomplished so much these past couple weeks, Im up to 2 miles of walking! 6) Your biggest struggle this week: I cant really think of one, everything has been going well for me this week.

YAY BUTTERFLY! I think the flying thing was so amazing i didn't even mind it!! I fit! Yay us!!!

    5) feeling back to normal, eating normal, high energy! What a difference regular food and Vitamins have made! Back to my positive CRAZY self! :)

    6) nothing to do with weight but the stress of my new house needing work!

Hard to believe that we are almost halfway to out six month mark. They say the largest weightloss happens in the first six months. I'm not really concerned about the number more so how I feel. I'm feeling fabulous! I have gotten rid of almost all my clothes. I'm going to have to start running around naked soon. Lol!!! Last go round I bought uncomfy tight clothes and I do believe the poop pouch in the butt of my pants are back! Going to wait til something falls around my ankles to go shopping again! Hugs my wl fam! ;) happy Friday!!!

  14. Welcome josh. Melodica I don't really enjoy cooking as most and when I do cook I cook for an army. I'm thinking now that I can actually eat without vomiting this last week to commit to one day a month and making stuff I can freeze and nuke later. Eggfaces blog has a ton of Protein muffin type things you can freeze. Sounds easy enough to me. I also bought 30 minutes or less meals and marked the ones I could eat.

Icouldn't take Vitamins until last week without getting sick. Since I have started to gag them down what a difference! I really started to feel down the last few weeks and the fatigue made it hard to get out of bed. A total omg wth did I do to myself feeling kicked in. The thought of maybe unhealthy and fat was better than vomiting all day long but now that I have concentrated on vits and eating reeeeeeeally slow I'm back to almost feeling like my happy awesome self!

I'm sure you will snap back soon sweets. Just keep telling yourself this is a long slow race. It will not be easy because if it was, we would of never been the size we were but it will be worth it. I for one think I will appreciate it even more since it wasn't easy and I did have so many bumps. Not that easy doesn't appeal still.

Baby steps and baby bites. ;) Have a great weekend!

  15. 1) 5'9" 290

    2) 271 surgery day

3)43 since surgery day 62 since start of program 77 from highest (77 is what my 7 year old weighs!!!ive lost a human being! ;))

    4)190 realistic 170 ideal

5)I am on day five if my vitamins! No vomiting! I ate a cheese enchilada! Okay I ate a third of it but still. Lol I'm finally able to eat real food. I learned my tummy can only handle bites about the size if my thumb nail, chew chew chew, and next bite about two minutes later. What a lesson on PATIENCE this has been! Phew I have made it through. Starting to feel back to normal just a smidge. Two dates this week too. Yay me! Since I'm so open about surgery I get daily cheers and omg your skinny! Feels fab!

6)I'm still battling fatigue and stress but everyday I feel a little but better and that is what I keep reminding myself. I have had pain for a long time which is gone. A little mental challenge is okay as long as I see a light at this very long tunnel I can handle all of the little obstacles to get there! Baby steps! Baby steps and apparently baby bites.

    Hugs my bp fam!

  17. Hi everyone! I haven't been on in awhile. I've been a bit discouraged but this weekend changed for me! I went shopping finally because my clothes were getting so big and I bought a size 14!!!!!!!! I was wearing a 20 jeans before! So excited!! I did this before and after pic! This first one was taken 2 weeks before my surgery and the other one was taken today! I can finally see a difference!! Just needed to share because I know this crew would understand how I'm feeling!

yay you girly!!! Love those NSVs. Keep them coming!!

  18. Ok I've got a new motivational update question we should all share! What size clothing were you before & after (currently) surgery? "Before" -shirt size=3X -pants size=22 -bra size=44C "After" -shirt size=2X -pants size=18 -bra size=42C Answer the ones you only know :)

Love this idea!!!!!NSVs are what it's all about!! Just went shopping!

    Shirt

    Before 2xl now xl

    Pant size

    Before 22 now 16

    Bra

    Before 42ddd now 38ddd

I also fit comfy in an airplane seat! Road behind someone on a motorcycle without dropping the back three inches! My office chair is way too big now! My coworkers refer to me as skinny! I'm trying to stay positive everyday. Lots to be thankful for.

  19. EIGHT WEEK CHECKIN!!! 1) height / weight starting our wls programs, 5'9 1/4 290 2) weight day of surgery, 271 3) weight seven week post op / pounds lost/gained, 236 lost 33 (54 since program start & 69 from highest) 4) goal weight-170 realistic 190 5) your biggest success this week, not beating myself up for not being like everyone else and taking it one day at a time6) your biggest struggle this week, going to ohio and trying to eat like I'm a normal person. Result? Throwing up twice as much. This is only temporary.

  20. I haven't really had one day without some kind of throwing up. I have an aversion to Protein which is seeming like everything but cottage cheese at this point. Only thing I seem to keep down along with peaches. I just want to eat something else without spitting up like a baby. I can't see to keep medicine or Vitamins down on a regular basis. I'm sure this is all temporary but I'm ready for a change. I also never feel full so if not measured too much will also make me throw up. My new name throwsupalotupus! Lol!

I just closed on a house and I'm leaving for ohio tomorrow. So with moving and a job promotion I think there just isn't enough time to work on my new lifestyle as well. Everything they told me not to do in the first year after surgery but how do you say no to bettering your life? :/

Good note though I put on a size 14 today for the first time in ten years....not comfy though. Lol. I got the keys to my first house and for the first time since surgery I can get up from a sitting or laying down position without becoming lightheaded or feeling like I'm going to pass out.

I really hate complaining but with the flu this week I think I just flatlined for a second on my positiveness. I think we will all hit a point where we wtf did I do to myself but I have to remind myself that all the downs that I'm describing are only temporary. :) so for today I am down but tomorrow is a new day! Hugs everyone! We must keep chugging away!
