Feel off track of weight loss, I came to far let it go down hill
-
I know the feeling. I'm 8 months post-op RNY and while I haven't gained any weight back, I've been on a plateau for 8 weeks! I was exercising daily, but I stopped going to the gym. I also snack too much-grazing. I need to pull myself up by the bootstraps and get back to my program! Best of luck to you...you can do this too

Need to get back on track

Hello guys, I need help. I am going on road trip Sunday need some ideas for things to eat. Help me please
-
I'm also planning a road trip. I have a cooler and I'll be bringing protein shakes and puddings, fresh fruit, cheese and lunchmeat for roll ups, celery sticks, vitamin water zero, and iced tea. I'm expecting to eat some meals in restaurants. I can find something diet friendly on almost any menu.
I hope you have a great time.

In need of some snacks ideas badly

Snack idea....every time I go over to see my grandkids, age 6,3,1....I take the something. Yesterday I took a huge bag of things to make our own trail mix. So, we got three big bowls out (for the two oldest and myself - baby got a banana) and we opened the bags and decided who wanted what in their mix. So, I took a variety of unsalted nuts, a few dried raisins and cranberries, dark chocolate chips, and flaked coconut. I passed on the dried banana chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and pretzles. It was wayyyyyy fun, and I came home with a handy snack for myself.

Quest bars are really good and they have 20 or 21 grams of protein in them.
Almonds are a good snack.
Hummus and a couple of water crackers. I purchase Hannah Hummus brand at Costco because they come in individual servings.
Guacamole with a couple of water crackers. I also purchase at Costco because they have individual servings.
These are just a few ideas for you.

I used to think I loved chocolate, but what I loved was chocolate flavored sugar and fat. Recently I have tried 85% dark chocolate, which at first was bleh, but I find it is more palatable with a strawberry dipped in it, or with a piece of walnut. I am making my adjustments, but it's working. Also, I make peanut butter balls with chocolate protein powder mixed in. Not the same as Reeses, but it will do. I am trying to get away from sweeteners, but late at night, I have been known to have a cup of sugar-free hot chocolate with a spoon of lite whipped topping. My bad.
