I'm wearing my first pair of Spanx pants today. Usually I wear a 1X, but their 1X is huge; so I called them and they actually told me to go 2 sizes smaller; today I have on a Large; they are nice; very comfortable.

Wow 50 pounds, you just depressed me. I had my surgery August 12th and have lost 20 pounds. So you are doing great. They say 1 to 2 pounds a week is really very good.

Randy Jackson did not have the lapband he had the gastric bypass; he has the dumps and all; read several articles about it and heard him on talk shows also.

My doctor says that your pcp cannot tell you that you cannot have the surgery; that is unethical.

My Mom's been on Prosac for years; it doesn't make her gain weight; it sure helps her though. She cannot live without it.

Take small tootsie rolls unrap them and put them around the soda; It looks like a small dogs poop. It might work. Of course don't eat the tootsie rolls. After you unrap them throw them on the ground so they get dirty and you won't eat them.

I lost 11 pounds the first week; non after first fill, then after my second fill 4 pounds. It seems slow, but if you divide that in the 12 weeks. It's more than a pound a week.

As long as it is coming off and I'm not gaining.

The lapband is a tool, but It doesn't allow me to eat too much. Before It was harder for me to say no. Now I just stop, because I'm full, or I do not want to get uncomfortable.

I've lost weight slower than I like too. Before I had it, the weight came off at 2 pounds a month, which is slow too. But if I did not keep watching it I would gain it back. This helps me to keep watching what I eat.

Ok had my second fill on Tuesday, from my first filled I drank diet soda and it didn't bother me; with this second one diet soda hurts going down; but right now most any food isn't going down without hurting. Even Water bothers me too. I love diet soda too. What do they say it helps you store fat; You can't get rid of everything you like; what kind of life would that be.

My doctors said I could have diets soda (he said it does bother some people). He even said wine too; I think since you can't eat much; what the heh!!

One thing I've noticed is I have so much more energy than I did before; the weights coming off slowly, but may be since I can't eat anything it will start coming off again.

My doctors says you can have diet soda. No restrictions at all, just depends on how you react to it.

My doctor said that this is the healing phase and he wants you to 2 weeks liquid; 2 weeks mushies and then 2 weeks added solid foods.You really need to let the swelling go down. This is my doctors opinion. All doctors seem to be different though.

I had my surgery done by Eric Pinnar. He did a great job. But the weight does not come off fast; and you still have to work at it. They have seminars you can go to. It cost about 17,500 if you are self-pay. My insurance did cover it. So far it's cost me about a $1,000.

I'm curious, I notice that some people can eat a lot. I thought that if you eat too much you can make your band slip and stretch. Is that true? I'm really scared of doing that. So I'm not eating much.

Don't worry, my doc says the the port area heels from the inside out and that is why it's hard. It takes longer to heal.

Three weeks is great; The first week is the hardest. I had mine done on a Friday and went back to work the following Wednesday. You need at least a week; more if you can.

That I'm not sure about. You can ask any question you would like at the meeting.

I was just banded August 12th, I have terrible reflux after surger; still have it; it hasn't been long.

I just had my surgery on August 12th; they want me to only eat liqids; they definitely said no Jello or pudding; it has to be liquids only! I have had very bad heart burn; It's starting to get better. I'm hungry, but to scared to cheat; so liquids it is.
