  1. I am 11 months post sleeve. My high wt was 224 lbs, surgery day weight 211 lbs, current wt fluctuating between 135 and 139 lbs. I am 4'11 3/4 in. I have been at this wt for a couple months now and maintain it. My old cravings have been returning in the last 3 weeks(which I knew from others would happen). Sometimes I can resist, especially if I look up my tempation on My Fitness Pal. Other times I try to drink more Fluid or eat a piece of fruit...I am ashamed to say that sometimes I have given in to the craving anyway(last night I ate a big bowl of Cocoa Krispies and 2 Hershey Kisses...I don't want to regain the weight, but sometimes my brain has other ideas. I feel like a failure. Any/all advice is appreciated. HELP!!

    Thank you!

  2. Benefiber has been helpful for me on advice of other sleevers. I use it in coffee, oatmeal, other things but mainly coffee. It dissolves completely and you can't tell it's in there. The Fiber one bars were helpful too, but has the side affect of gas. My gastroenterlogist explained that since sleevers are taking in less food volume, the colon perceives it doesn't have to "move things along" as frequently as normal.

Miralax helps some people, also(recommended by my gastro doc) but didn't help me as much as the Benefiber.

Looks like your on the right track with eating. Good luck!!

  3. I am 5 months out and have lost 55 lbs. I have hit a plateau. I haven't really lost in the past 3-4 wks. I have signed up for My Fitness Pal but I don't know how to use a lot of things on it, especially for my smart phone (Android). any suggestions/tips would be most appreciated both for using My Fitness Pal and how to break the plateau.

  4. I had right side abdominal pain for several weeks, I also had a hiatal hernia that was repaired also during surgery. In the beginning I was sure i had pulled or even ripped a muscle, but was assured by my surgeon it would heal, and he was right. Congratulations on your surgery, I'm sure you will do well. Good luck!!!

  5. HELP! I had my sleeve surgery 2/24/14 and up to now have done relatively well, down 32 lbs so far. I slipped badly today(Easter) and ate at least 10 milk duds. I am so afraid my brain is trying to return to previously learned bad habits. I don't want to sabotage myself. Did I overstretch my stomach out? It sn't hurting, but who knows how it will be as it goes through my system.

  6. Hi, Catnapper. I too am new to this site and learning my way around to navigate. I just had my surgery on 2/24/14 and have so many questions that I hope I can learn from others on the site. It looks like there are some well thought out comments and suggestions I can learn from. Hang in there and just try reaching out like you have and hopefully you will find a lot of support on here from people who have gone through weight loss surgery also. I really admire you for doing this for yourself despite no support from your husband. I am very sorry he is not supportive, hopefully he will come around. Remember, you are a strong lady and just reach out to others, and I'm sure you will find support.
