  1. Ok, I am 1 month out and today I had me first experience with dumping..... Funny thing is, today was the first day I got to eat Cereal and I got Special K Protein plus and it was no bueno:( I was so excited to eat cereal and am a little crushed. Anybody have this experience and what foods triggered it? I'm scared to eat anything but egg whites and cottage cheese:/

  2. That's awesome! Ive only lost 12 pounds:( I thought I'd have lost more but I guess everybody is different. I started walking yesterday so hopefully that will help. Keep up the good work I can't wait till like 6 months from now and see the progress... We are gonna have to post our pics!!!

  3. I'm a horrible sleeper too.... I worked almost 3 years graveyard shift because I figured I might as well make money. In the long run it was a bad idea and I take trazadone to help me sleep. My rhuemotologist is a bitch.... She attributes all my problems to my weight so I can't wait till I lose weight and can finally get to the source of my issues.... That an a new doctor might not be a bad idea! Haha

  4. I'm so excited and nervous! I just want to be done.... I'm not looking forward to the pain but I'm so willing to endure it for a chance to be happy and healthy. I am not on a liquid diet, just high Protein and low carb. But I've really been drinking Protein Shakes and eating cottage cheese and eggs. The worst part is I just started my period and I want CHOCOLATE! So bad! Good luck on your journey and keep us updated:)

  5. I didn't want to take lyrica because of the possible weight gain. I've tried everything and I'm on Lexapro and Cymbalta. But the only thing that takes the edge off is hydrocodone. And it totally is a catch 22 because it is so painful to exercise.... Especially afterwards, it feels like my muscles just tighten up and I can hardly move:/

  6. I had it done in July 2011 and lost 60 pounds working my ass off and eating healthy. As long as I'm losing and seeing results I was good but then I just stopped. I have fibromyalgia also so I'm trying to work out through pain and then I hurt my back at work and couldn't work out at all. Slowly weight starting coming back and I got sick of constantly regurging all my food. I had the saline taken out and the weight came right back. It's super frustrating so I feel for you. Just ready to get my surgery and start new chapter! Ya know.....

  7. My lap band was too tight as well..... Everything came back up. Since I've had all the saline removed from my band I have gained 15 pounds :( It was horrible! I too have many people that have had the procedure which helped me change my kind about the surgery. When my loved on passed away it was because of something the doctor did and not necessarily due to the surgery itself. I am stilled scared but I feel like I have to look at my overall quality of life and right now it sucks:( I have fibromyalgia and pain everywhere.... Possibly due to my weight. I've always been a big girl all my life and when I was younger I was super athletic. Now I can't do anything..... My kids are still young and I'm ready to change my life!! I hope that I'm successful with my surgery!

  8. I started in July of last year with the entire process and I've been waiting a month on my insurance. It's just one thing after another. I am already taking Lexapro and Cymbalta but I think just all the added stress going on..... Kinda want to pull out my hair but don't want to cause I will probably lose it after my surgery! Haha

  9. Thanks:) I feel like my depression is getting worse too.... I'm ready to start this new chapter in my life and have done all my pre-op stuff and was hoping I'd have it done already. I had this awesome job opportunity and have to pass on it cause I'm still waiting for my insurance to get it together. It's frustrating but I know it will be worth all this frustration in the end. Thanks for your kind words and I will keep posting!

  10. This is my first time here and I am in the process of getting gastric bypass. I currently have the lap band which I totally regret. Unfortunately I had a very close person to me pass away from gastric bypass and after that it scared me so bad that I decided to go with the band. I lost 60 pounds and then it stopped:( since, I've gained most of the weight back and recently injured my back and found out I have fibromyaglia. I have 2 beautiful girls and a wonderful husband. I am getting gastric bypass now because I want to be healthy and happy for my family:) right now my lap band removal has been denied but hopefully my wonderful doctor will get that overturned. Just patiently waiting impatiently!!
