    Tailbone problems anyone?

Interesting...I'm 2.5 mo out, down 45 pound and within the past week I've had the damndesr time with my tailbone at work. I got one of those pads for my chair that I should receive next week. I didn't think there was a connection. Very interesting!

What type of yogurt do you use?

Every morning I take plain nonfat greek yogurt (most protein), a good vanilla protein powder, nonfat milk, ice & frozen blueberries or whatever fruit I have and hit my nutrabullet "type" machine (its a copycat but does the job). I swear I taste cheesecake in every sip. And its loaded with protein. Thats my breakfast. Im about 6 weeks out now and got sick of the shakes real quick! Try it, you'll love it!

    Energy

I've seen this question before so it's probably in the archives but my energy level is incredibly low. I've been getting my protein in more than ever before as well as fluids and still...falling flat in the energy dept. How long does this last until some fashion of normalcy kicks in?

    gallbladder woes

I had my gb taken out at the same time as my RNY, laproscopically by davinci because my gb was apparently packed with stones. Im tellin ya, after surgery, even with the pain of the whole ordeal...I felt better with my gallbladder out. I never realized it had been making me feel so bad! You'll be good! Any pain you do go through will be so worth it.

    daVinci robotic surgery anyone?

I had mine on Aug 12th in Federal Way, WA. I had RNY as well as my gallbladder removed. I couldn't be more happy with my recovery time.

    Eating is no longer fun

    Energy

Thank you, thank you for responding! I was starting to think it was me! Was there anything you did to gain any energy during that time? Or was it more or less a waiting/healing game?

    Off limit foods after bypass

All on moderation right? I'd never comprimise my success eating noodles and popcorn, I'd just like to have (or rather taste) from time to time. Its the human element. I was under the impression popcorn was bad due to the kernels & the new pouch...
  14. I definitely see a difference! Nice going!

    gallbladder surgery

I had bypass and my gallbladder removed together. My gallbladder was in super bad shape. I took 3 weeks. I probably could've done it in two if I had to but I didn't have to so I took the time.

    Need AUGUST bypass buddies!

I get hungry but it tends to be after watching those horrible commercials on tv or smelling something good. I think its mostly in my head. Its also from being sick of eating in the pureed stage but just hit soft foods so that helps with options. Keep yourself busy!

    How did you tell people?

I told a couple of siblings, someone I work with, my husband and my best friend. Basically the ones I would'nt be able to keep it from. As much research as I've done on my own, I didn't want to listen to anyone negative. I'll tell more as time goes on...I think I'm down about 25 pounds now so the time is coming to sing.

    Need AUGUST bypass buddies!

Sounds like we're seeing some great results! I'm still in liquid/puree stage and stumbled into an Emerald City Smoothie a couple times. Ive tried a few low cal, low sugar, high protein smoothies and felt as if I were cheating. They were sooo good! If anyone has that chain close or others like it, check it out!

    Gallbladder matter

So all went well! The gallbladder was indeed the kicker for me. It gave my surgeon a run for his money! Packed with stones and very sick but its now out. I never realized how bad it made me feel but with all the pain from bypass & gallbladder removal (8/12), I still managed to feel better than before? So though I got the extra grief, it was worth it. Thanks for everyones input on this!

I had the gastric bypass !

People are bold in their judgements. Some of the things they say are just incredible and reveal what asses they really are.
