A few co workers had banding or sleeve. I dieted and lost 50 lbs. my weight came back and theirs didn't. Story of my life! Lose it amd gain it back. Plus some! I dont have a problem losing weight. I am an expert! It's keeping it off that made my decision to be sleeved.

I no longer live to eat. I now eat to live! Things I enjoyed before surgery turn me off now. It's very strange. I feel like they rearranged my taste buds!

I am 9 weeks out and ate 1 slice of salad pizza. I ate the salad and then took small bites of crust. I only ate half of the crust. Some days though I feel like I cant eat anything. Every day is a surprise as to how much and what I will be able to get down. Today was a good day and for dinner I had 1 slice of london broil and some grilled veggies. Delicious! So happy! The days that I have trouble eating makes me very depressed!

I am also an RN with a BSN. CNA's, MA's, surg tech's, xray tech's, etc ARE ALL in the medical field. I don't really understand where you are coming from Suzysleever.

I think your body just adjusts to the new amount and then with the addition of purees it adjusts again. It eventually says "hey lets drop a few pounds"!

I got mine 2 days after surgery too! Glad to see it's normal.

Are you able to finish it? I am 2 weeks out and after a few bites of anything I'm done! Does this change over time?

One month or 10 months...does is really matter how long it takes to lose the weight? This surgery is for life! You will lose weight if you make healthy food choices. I have always been told that losing slower is healthier than losing fast. Isnt that why we all did this? To be healthy? I dont care how long it takes, my journey has begun! Good luck to all of you!

Angie. I had my sleeve 2-17. I have the same problem. Sometimes the bubble in my chest hirts so bad! I rhink it will get better
-
Sometimes when I eat I get a severe pain in my chest. Does that mean I swallowed too much? Amyone else have this problem?
-
I never had any drains. Surgeons are all so different! Even post op diet progression varies so much. Why cant they just standardize it!
-
I also had hiatal hernia repair. It def makes more chest discomfort

I'm from northern nj. I was sleeved 2/17. The first week was horrible bit now I feel much better. Still have to fight some cravings though. Didnt think that would happen so soon!
Just not interested!

I am 3 months out. I feel the same way. Some days I feel ok, but on days that I have a lot of restriction I can get very depressed. It is def not easy!
