Dr Primomo did my RNY in March. He is GREAT! So is his staff! 118 down and about 40 to go.

Where did you find them?
-
Protein powder in labeled zip locks. Once you are on solids tuna and salmon in foil packs. I travel every week and have found that it is worth the effort to pack these always!

I had the first stall at 3 weeks and it lasted one week. The second stall I hit at 2.5 months and lasted three of the longest weeks of my life. But during the stall I noticed a drastic difference in clothes fitting and had to adjust wardrobe accordingly! Next time I won't wait till I loose my drawers running through the airport! I had taken them up twice, but apparently they didn't want me anymore!

Looking for a drink that tastes like Fresca
Srreeder replied to I will what I want's topic in Food and Nutrition
I love Fresca and grapefruit juice! Nectar's grapefruit is AWESOME! I buy it through netrition.com! I bought the big "jug" and that is what I have for breakfast most of the time! They also have a good peach. They are a little in the sweet side, but I mix in a little more water than suggested and it's perfect for me. -
Work Travel 4 weeks post-op? Terrified
Srreeder replied to latido's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I fly and travel every week with my job. I was back in the air at 23 days post op. I checked a bag with protein mixes, baby food, the blended fruits that are in foil on the baby food aisle, and broth cubes. I was able to find soups on all if the menus so I could participate with the dinners and socializing. I did have to ask the chef once to make me a blended soup of their choosing and they were more than happy to do it! Don't be bashful to ask for what you need, even if it isn't on the menu. -
I hit a 4 week stall at 2.5 months out. I went back to full liquid diet for 4 days with 700 cal Mac daily intake. It finally broke! I am now only eating one meal and the remainder liquid to see if I can get the scale to keep moving. I was the same though, I weighed 265 for years prior to the last 50 that I put on the year before surgery. You body gets stuck at the "memory" weight and doesn't want to budge!

Thanks for those encouraging words! You are right! My stats are below and I feel like the weight isn't coming off, I am not going succeed! But you are right! I am sticking with the plan, this 2.5 week stall will pass! Preop diet: 320 SW: 300 CW:267 RNY 3-26-14

Have you smoked or vaped e-cigarettes and not had complications post surgery?
Srreeder replied to GemmaLicious's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am a vaporer as well and this is what I did and I had no complications. Three days prior to surgery and for the first week post op I went to zero nicotine level vamping. The next two week I went up to low level nicotine, and then back to regular vamping. I was a little irritable, but I did it! -
Anxiety, have you had it since surgery?
Srreeder replied to CaliGal1's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Anxiety, depression, anger, sorrow, happiness, anxious! All in 10 minutes ! Mood swings are driving me crazy! Balled the other night because my embroidery machine quit working! And this too shall pass! -
I am doing wonderful! No complications, down 24 lbs since surgery, 44 total. I was able to start flying again at 4 weeks out, job requirement! I can find items on most menus, if not I keep a handy Protein mix in my bag. I I did have on sticking episode at a lunch with a co-worker, got the foamies in front of a co-worker, had to super spit, gag, into a napkin. That was a little embarrassing. Almost had Moon over Montreal in the Montreal airport, my pants just kept on sliding down! I have found I have to make myself walk, stairs, throughout my day. I use MyBasis tracker to ensure I get my steps. The poet op diet was the usual 1 week liquid, 2 full liquid, 2 puréed, 2 soft. I advanced myself a little quicker and had no probs. I hope that helps! Dr. p rocks!

I had surgery with Dr. Primomo on 3-26-14. He was great! Houston Herman Memorial City Hospital was awesome as well!
-
oh that is wonderful!

I am in Houston. Have family in San Fran though! I was meaning to ask RaeRea where she was! I guess that got fuzzy with me quoting the wrong one! Was hoping to help her out if she is in our area though! Nice to meet you though Carol!
-
What area are you in? I remember you stated in a previous post but I couldn't find it. Just want to see if your close to us. Glad to hear all is well! Patience does pay off!

Had RNY 3-26' lost 17 lbs until 4-12. Then I hit the wall! Nothing lost since. I did have my cycle and did get down with allergies and sinus infection. I am averaging 675 cal and 60g protein. Stick with your plan! The scale will move! That or move the scale to the garden! In the same boat as you, just trying to keep the faith!

clothing exchange get together in Houston?
Srreeder replied to rayanne's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm in the Houston area and would be interested. -
Had surgery 3-26 and down 17 lbs. I have been stalled ALL week, but have also been sick and in bed with allergies and sinus infection. Keeping calories at 700, trying to bump up protein though. I will keep to plan but know until I feel better and can get my exercise I I shouldn't expect much!
-
Wow! Awesome numbers!
-
I've been using the app Eat Slower. It's free and you can set your bite intervals. You can have it vibrate or alarm when it's time for another bite!
-
Sound like gas. Not your typical gas pains, but the blow you up like a balloon and it is trying to find a place to escape. Walk, walk, walk. I have heard some say the gasx strips don't work on RNY gas and I disagree. There is the gas from Sx and gas from you eating/drinking that has no where to go now that your pouch is so small.
-
I am not having any constant pain and I am 4 days out. And for the TMI section, thankful for loose stools!
-
I was the 26th as well. I am not having nasea, but I am LOW on energy.

Home from hospital and in my own bed!! Concentrating on fluids, protein will have to come soon though!
